Not official but rumored date is next week
The drama has gotten its licensing so they can actually air this drama straight away now. It might not air next week because it hasn't been promoted yet but it's definitely coming soon.

Sun Taiqing has finally realized how psychotic the Emperor has become and he is so dumb for not figuring out earlier or try to prevent it. One of the reasons why Murong Gaogong went crazy is because Sun Taiqing kept getting it into his head that he can do anything because he is the ruler and everyone should follow it.

I hate such characters like Sun Taiqing that give their unwanted and utterly dumb ideas/opinions and just create a bunch of conflict.

Do Xiao Se and Qianluo really have something in the book and end up together, or is their "relationship" something that is only shown in the drama?

I think that something that has come up very often is how Wang Hedi's voice is dubbed and I always hear people saying hiw much they wished Wang Hedi was able to use his real voice. I can't quite disagree with that considering how he is pretty much always dubbed.

But Wang Hedi has a very thick regional accent and even though he is practicing it is gonna take him a long while to perfect his accent. And I also feel like even if Wang Hedi didn't have a regional accent and he was able to use his real voice I still personally think that it would be better to dub him.

For a character like Xiao Duo you need someone with a very dark, deep and powerful voice to match his character and personality, but Hedi's voice is actually rather soft which wouldn't quite fit the discription of Xiao Duo.

He said the director said soon, not by the end of the year. And i highly doubt it’s even possible to air it…
A lot of the cdramas these days are dubbed ( even though the actor uses his own voice ). This is because a lot of the drama sets are located in a very populated place. Meaning that there is quite a lot of noise pollution and it's hard to capture the actors raw voices directly because of all the background noise.

Hope that answered your question

Well tbh none of his actions implies that he "loves" yinlou it's more like a display of power...I never felt that…
I'm really starting to think that a lot of this has to do with the eunuch. He would always come up with dumb ideas to get Bu Yinluo together with the Emperor.
Such as suggesting her to go to a brothel so that she could learn how to be sexy/seductive for the Emperor.
He would say that Yinluo has feelings for the Emperor even though it was clear to see that it is not the case.
Also he really needs to realize his place, he may be a eunuch and work right for the Emperor but he is in no place to come up with rash decisions on his own. ( I don't mean that I am looking down on eunuchs or maids/servants I mean it in a sense that whoever you are there are certain boundaries that can't be crossed.)

But I do admire the actors for being able to pull off such roles. In my opinion a good actor is someone who can pull of their role ( a villian, or any annoying role like the Emperor in this case ) so well that I want to murder the character.

I get what you mean when you say he never truly loved Yinluo. Looking back on all the moments he had with Yinluo it was almost always him in a way "forcing" Yinluo to be submissive to him showing that he's showing his power. Also I've realized how throughout all the episodes, the eunuch that is with the Emperor always seems to influence the Emperor saying that he can do whatever he likes because he rules the country. And I think that might also be the reason he became like this, because he's been told that he can do whatever he pleases and everyone has no choice but to listen to him.

Did she sleep with the emperor
No she didn't. The emperor tried to make her sleep with him but she kept pushing away. In the end the emperor lies to everyone saying that they slept together even though they didn't.

I am just so annoyed by the Emperor ( Murong Gaogong ) that I literally want to throw up every time I see his face. When they first introduced his character, I never fully liked him but I certainly didn't hate him either but right now I absolutely despise his character.

He was shown as a broken character at the beginning of the drama, he was just a prince who was dumb and didn't know anything other than making lanterns and also with the traumatic experience he had with Prince Rong I felt somewhat bad for him.

But he has become a literal monster now and it's scary. He was always delusional about Bu Yinluo, thinking that he could have her and all but this delusion has become obsession. He's completely obsessed with her and it is concerning. He started imagining that Bu Yinluo was having a scandalous relationship with her own cousin. HER OWN COUSIN!!!. This man is clearly not okay. The way he doesn't back off and continues falling on top of Yinluo even though she clearly shows multiple times that she doesn't like him in the same way, it's disgusting.

Also talking about the scene where he aggressively stabs Prince Nanyuan's spy in front of Yinluo. A real man would never do such an act in front of the person he loves. Xiao Duo was the real man, he covered Yinluo so that she wouldn't have to see this. If you really loved someone you would want to protect and never show such things. There is a clear difference between wanting to look like a hero in front of a girl's eyes and genuinely caring about a girl with your whole heart.

If there is one thing that I love the most about Bu Yinluo's character, it is how witty and smart she is. She can very easily and quickly tell whether something is a trap and she can quickly respond to it. She knows how to deal with people properly and she just looks so cool when she fools everyone around her without them even knowing. Another thing I like about her is that even if something doesn't go the way she likes, or if she finds out something than makes her angry, she doesn't act rashly or do things in an angry state of mind without thinking things out. She's rather calm while handling such situations and knows exactly when to react. Also whenever there is a misunderstanding between her and Xiao Duo she might look mad and angry at the moment but after a while she recovers and pays attention to every detail, which makes her smart enough to find out what is actually true and what was all just a misunderstanding.

I kind of felt bad for him when the girl he was falling for didn't feel the same because of him being not a whole…
Same, Cao Chun'ang is a very capable man and he is definitely somone who would protect the person he loves. I felt really bad when Tongyun was talking to him about how eunuchs " aren't worth getting married to". You could see how hurtful he felt when he heard her say that and Tongyun acts before she speaks. She doesn't think whether her words will hurt the second party or not.

I am also pleasantly surprised by how much I like Cao Chun'ang. When I first started the drama I thought that I might not like him but he is in fact a very good character. He knows exactly when to step in and take action and when to hold back. He's also funny making it very enjoyable to watch the scenes that he is in, but when he needs to, he can really go into killer mode.
I'm starting to feel scared about the ending episodes for Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow. The Hong siblings are known for pretty much always writing a sad ending to all their stories and I just don't think I am prepared to see a sad ending. The screenwriters and directors better get their shit together and give Jang Uk and Naksu the happy ending that they deserve.

I still can't get over how annoying Tongyun has been in the past couple of episodes. I know it is risky for Xiao…
I have also realized how immature Tongyun actually is, she clearly doesn't follow rules and she doesn't have what it takes to be a good maid. For example during the scene when Bu Yinluo is learning dinner etiquette, even though Yinluo lets her eat the food, Tongyun should know better than to not eat the food. Tongyun unnecessarily brings trouble for Yinluo, shes undiciplined and rude as well sometimes.

I still can't get over how annoying Tongyun has been in the past couple of episodes. I know it is risky for Xiao Duo and Bu Yinluo to have a relationship even though it is hidden, but I just wished Tongyun would stop trying to get in between the two and break them up. Tongyun is just a servant and Bu Yinluo clearly sees Tongyun as nothing other than a maid to her. Tongyun should stop acting like she is a really close friend of Yinluo and stop with her "words of advice". Yinluo and Xiao Duo know exactly what they are doing and getting themselves into and they are also being careful about it, both of them are mature adults and don't need to be babysit-ted and told what they should or shouldn't do, especially by someone who is just a maid.
I'm sort of confused right now. If my memory is still fresh and I am not completely mistaken, during the first part of Alchemy of Souls the mages were able to find Naksu's real body. And Naksu's real body was hiden away from public eye and Jang Uk had followed along with Park Jin and has Naksu's real body and face a couple times. But in part 2 when Jang Uk sees this girl locked up in Jinyowon, how does he not seem to be able to tell that this girl has the same face as Naksu?
