I’ll try to give my opinion of this drama in the most respectful way as i appreciate the effort that took from everybody, the actors and actresses, the crew and production team, all of em deserve their flowers and praise. now that is out the way here’s my thoughts while watching this drama. First i wish they adapted the webtoon over the novel, seems like the fans of the drama always use the excuse of it following the novel as a defence to anyone who implies that oh my god this drama is boring, cuz i ain’t gon lie it was boring and the characters were acting so different from the webtoon which is what i read first of this material and actually loved. every character in the webtoon is so drastically different AND better than whatever we got going on in our screens, novel or whatnot could not be an excuse to not adapt some characteristics to be included up in here cuz it just ended up being so bland and boring and nonsensical like be so serious with me nd my homegirls this ain’t what we expected when we clicked here. Second is the cast. yeh yeh uall probably seen ppl complaining nd im not adding up on anything except i agree with the criticism cuz i see what they saw and it could’ve been better. but yeh if u want something in the background while cleaning or doing laundry or some chores it could work as a background noise
i tried so hard to empathise with the mother so bad cuz he’s her only son but not on tou tou’s account. the hell you screaming ur lungs out infront of everyone telling her to leave the mountain. THE MOUNTAINS ALONE like what if something bad happens to her on the way down who would be responsible for her. also the fact her husband allowed this nonsense just to teach his wife again on toutou’s life???? weirdass family fr free my girl!!!!
UALL DID U SEE WHAT JUST HAPPENED THEY DONE BE FUCKING WITH RTZ MIND😧now that he likes toutou his dad hits him with she’s his daughter… like the way i would be sick to my stomach quit playing with this boy’s emotion😂
it's not even that we dislike her (at least I don't) its more so the drama and conflict that her presence brings.…
it honestly all boils down to rtz and his lack of professionalism. tbh i don’t really care for mm or her story nor rtz as a whole, i just be focusing on tou tou’s growth and the development of her story. it’s just like her presence seems to bother uall so much it just ridiculous to me but you do you and i hope they fix the writing cuz i agree it’s giving we have nothing to make rtz do so let his whole storyline be on a patient he probably have trauma bond with as he almost killed her with his carelessness
they done a great job casting lusi as tou tou cuz no one will ever pull such complicated character that makes you continuously rooting for her in every situation regardless of whether or not it’s morally accepted and have you emotionally invested🤍
i loved how the mother finally warmed up to tou tou given that she wasn’t convinced about the idea of taking care of her before ( as she found her difficult to deal with and understand her) but now she treats her with so much warmth and love it just melted my heart🥹 also i’m surprised she managed to click her when she was fake crying (even though i believe the words did hurt her a lot but she doesn’t want to feel weak and vulnerable) so she let her be and didn’t try to comfort her as she isn’t ready yet. i love their dynamic so much😭
just finished ep 8 and i love how everyone just went with the dead story so naturally😭 it shows the natural chemistry between the cast and how despite their character’s differences they still manage to represent a wholesome workspace for each other and i absolutely adore it. i’ve read the comments below about the romance and in all honestly i don’t see how tian zhen adds to tou tou story as both their storylines contribute with each other. tou tou is discovering her passion and role in life while adapting to new environment and is in the process of establishing a family while tian zhen is rediscovering himself outside his father vision and tries to get his approval and is taking care of a patient whom he almost killed thus dealing with a mistake he made. so i don’t really see what the connection these two have aside from having the same father figure and living together with no feelings attached. all i’m saying i hope uall enjoy the flow of the drama and focus on the other elements that is presented aside from the romance that have yet to be shown or hinted by the production or the actors.
just finished episode 5 and have to say this cuz it’s been bothering me for a while now. i still believe it’s unfair for tou tou to bare those responsibilities and expectations as she does not feel connected to her ancestors. and what gets me is how they all treat her like she is ignorant and ungrateful despite not taking the time of day to prepare her for all of this. are u telling me ren xin have yet to actually sit her down and explain to her everything without making it seem like a child play? it’s all boils down to how it feel like they are forcing her to be someone she is not. and yes ik we are supposed to follow her and watch her mature over time but this whole thing seems unfair to me
i always trust Liang jie‘s taste when it comes to picking her scripts. she always pick out the most uniquely written and entertaining dramas. definitely will watch
regardless of whether or not there’s romance between the leads in my opinion tou tou could still carry the drama with no love interest. sure both leads have chemistry, however they radiate platonic relationship energy and it would be refreshing to see that in a cdrama.
i love this drama downnn but everytime i sense an action/ serious scene i literally pause nd let “bitch be serious” under my breath. like come on now don’t piss me off 😭

omg this!!! neung is trying so hard to act as if he’s not like other spoiled rich kids who are ignorantly classist and entitled, but news flash*! HE IS AN ENTITLED SPOILED RICH BRAT and instead of trying to convince himself he’s different it’s about time he fully accept the fact he is no better than the others and REFLECT. that will be an impactful character development as he just showed the guy he has a crush on that he indeed looks down on him and not all “i see u as an equal” which he doesn’t. and honestly palm doesn’t deserve to be treated the way he is now
since no one said it i will. Palm is a whole princess like have uall seen how this man sits? tucks his hair behind his ears? if i were neung i would’ve ran so fast, picked a flower and put it in his hair he’s so bbg please😭
one thing this show will shove down your throat is palm’s death. like the whole 1+3= death, him saying forbidden love is beautiful.. be so fucking serious do not play with me rn💀
