I've read so many comments in this site and others where people feel gross about the relationship between YS and…
A twenty-three-year-old Gyung Soo raises an eight-year-old youngster Young Shin, and at the end of the day, they have feeling for each other when Young Shin becomes an adult. In my opinion, there are social norms in society that provide us with an expected idea of how to behave in a particular social culture. It is not a sin, but it is a deviation from social norms, or it violates unwritten rules (social norms) about what is acceptable in a particular society. Even Teacher Lee Won Soo and Chairman Jong Gwon are surprised with the relationship between Gyung Soo and Young Shin.
A notable winner is Actor Han Jung Ho in "A Good Supper", he is worth mentioning. It certainly not an easy task to act as a simple man Jang Yong Goo. Yong Goo’s unconditional love to the love of his life, Pil Sun, touches our heart. After Yong Goo is rebuffed by Pil Sun’s brother, we painfully notice him walking in the blooming cherry blossom park while repeating “I am 43, my name is Jang Yong Goo, I am a sane person”; that beautiful scenery has become very poignant as well as heartbreaking. That segment in episode 75 steals the show. I earnestly hope actor Han Jung Ho that portrays Yong Goo get a nomination for the Supporting Actor in a Soap Opera in 2021 MBC Drama Awards for "A Good Supper" and wins the Award.
This show is dumb, their relationship ruined the show.
After Young Shin has feeling for Gyung Soo, Young Shin becomes so cold toward Joon Hoon and ignores Joon Hoon completely. It is very uncharacteristic; Young Shin is supposed to be a very compassionate person. Usually, a character in a daily drama maintains a consistent demeanor regardless of the situations.
Just wonder when YS start grow her feeling to GS?, I wonder because on 1/3 part of the series, she still like…
I wonder that too. After Da Jung spreads the rumor about Young Shin and Gyung Soo relationship, suddenly, Young Shin has feeling for Gyung Soo and vice versa. I remember Young Shin is crying forlornly at the train station when she misses the train that takes Jung Hoon to another city to study medicine. It is a oedipus complex love between Young Shin and Gyung Soo that I do not expect to happen.
I disagree with what Young Shin says in episode 69, that working in a Korean Restaurant "felt like the chefs were not cooking to give someone a good meal, but using food as a tool for someone's ambitions. There's no time to check if the customers are enjoying the meal or the customers need anything. She was pushing out food like a machine according to the order slips. Making food was just a tough job."
I assume it is a bad written script. Young Shin is/was a head chef in that "Royal Palace" Korean Restaurant. As a head chef Young Shin would certainly know if the customers enjoy the dishes and the head chef certainly feels the satisfaction from it. I am so disappointed with the script for that particular part. I have so much empathy for all chefs, their work is so stressful, especially in busy and well known restaurants.
Or I wonder if Young Shin is trying to sooth Gyung Soo that working in a small diner gives her more satisfaction than working in "Royal Palace". My bad.
I'm so disappointed with this drama. Why couldn't they make the story in a different they if they wanted to a…
I agree with you, Joon Hoon character is one of the lead characters, but he only appears as a supporting character and only says a line or two in each episode. It is so disappointing. I feel so uncomfortable watching Young Shin character and Gyung Soo character together. However, I feel reassured that Joon Hoon is honest enough to say what he thinks about Da Jung and also about the relationship between Young Shin and Gyung Soo.
I am so jealous, they will make "Downton Abbey Movie 2" that will come out in December 2021. I wish MBC would make "Golden Pouch" movie to conclude the story of Dr. Han Seok Hoon and Miss Geum Seol Hwa. We desperately need a mature love story movie once in a while.
It gives me "goosebumps" and I am deeply disturbed when character Gyung Soo looks at Young Shin with that longing look when Young Shin is departing to live with Chairman Jong Gwon. It would be fine if they met as adults and fell in love. However, Gyung Soo practically took Young Shin in when she was an 8 years old child and raised the youngster.
I can't think of GS in love with YS. He knows her since she was 8 years old and he was a "YOUNG MAN". I know I…
I agree with you. I just hope the character Gyung Soo does not have "a man to a woman kind of love" to the character Young Shin. It gives me "goosebumps" and I am deeply disturbed when Gyung Soo looks at Young Shin with that longing look when Young Shin is departing to live with Chairman Jong Gwon. It would be fine if they met as adults and fell in love. However, Gyung Soo practically took Young Shin in when she was an 8 years old child and raised the youngster.
