I am so disappointed with the protagonist male/female lead characters performance in "A Good Supper", the script makes Young Shin character looks dull. Actress Ryu Hyo Young/Jung Woo Yun is an exceptionally excellent actress in "Golden Pouch". I hope she will be offered better script after "A Good Supper", she is a very talented actress.
I am so disappointed with the protagonist male/female lead characters performance. The script makes them look dull. Also there is no on-screen chemistry between the lead protagonist characters. The secondary love story between Uncle Yong Koo and Pil Sun is more interesting and heartwarming. I hope the script will let Young Shin be with Jung Hoon, the chemistry is brewing whenever they appear together on the screen. Chemistry? I’m looking for emotion! Both have blank faces the entire time.
Yes, exactly, I am so disappointed. The script does not allow the actress Jung Woo Yeon/Ryu Hyo Young to perform an engaging acting skill. The actress performs so well in "Golden Pouch".
I agree with you totally. Anyone has the right to voice out their position regarding the drama be it either good…
Young Shin did say "I will still be Young Shin for you" (I am paraphrasing it) to Gyong Soo at the diner. My interpretation is that Young Shin will still be that "Child Young Shin" to "Young Man" Gyong Soo, not a woman Young Shin to a man Gyong Soo. I am still hopeful Young Shin will be with Jung Hoon, and the "social norms" will prevail and the story does not break the social norms. But do not take my words for it. I am a dreamer.

I notice Jung Hoon is very poised and is attending Ok Bok's celebratory dinner after Ok Bok passes the entrance exam. Also Jung Hoon leaves the diner when Young Shin kneels and touches the ground with her forehead toward the diner family to show her respect and appreciation to the diner family. Young Shin looks at Jung Hoon with that "please be patient and wait for me" look when she sees Jung Hoon leaves the diner. So I am still hopeful.

Truthfully, it is so troubling to watch a twenty-three-year-old Gyung Soo raises an eight-year-old youngster Young Shin, then they have feeling for each other when Young Shin becomes an adult. I am not dropping the show because I still expect, after the storm, Young Shin will realize her love is for Joon Hoon after all. This will be a need or a want for Young Shin to decide between these two men, a perfectly groomed hair-dry coiffed thick hair Gyong Soo or the down to earth medical student Joon Hoon.
Good point ( ◠‿◠ ) However, if Gyong Soo were Mrs. Choi Sook Jung's son and Young Shin were Chairman Jong…
But I would be troubled if Gyong Soo and Young Shin are together as man and wife. I would decline to re-watch "A Good Supper". I am still re-watching "Golden Pouch" and enjoy the story very much.
For those concerned about the YS-GS relationship, I highly suggest dropping this show if that's not your thing.…
I am not dropping the story because I am still hopeful Young Shin and Jung Hoon will be together again at the end of the story. I am still a dreamer at heart.

In "Golden Pouch", the lead male and female characters are step-siblings and they are not married as man and wife at the end of the story, much to my chagrin. However, "Golden Pouch" was made in 2016-2017, "A Good Supper" is made in 2021, Koreans may not have an issues regarding this matter, then the leading male and female characters in "A Good Supper" will have a happy ending story as man and wife.

Good point ( ◠‿◠ ) However, if Gyong Soo were Mrs. Choi Sook Jung's son and Young Shin were Chairman Jong Gwon's daughter (after DNA test and all), they would be step-siblings. I am not so sure step-siblings could be man and wife even though they were not blood related.
