can't help but kept noticing that this is probably one of the first few drama that really showcase Shin Hye Sun's actual height. Watched her previous work and most of them hid her height incredibly well. glad to see this for a change. this genre was pretty interesting, surprisingly for a k-romance drama it adopted a mellow vibe, not bad.
right from the start i knew this will not be our average k-drama type production. you can tell that it has a limited budget but was intrigue to see because of the casts they've got. interestingly starting with less of an average expectations, was actually impressed with how the characters and flow of the story went. it has its flaws definitely but i love the fact that how they chose to display the 'reality' of different types of relationships - from married couple, ones in relationship, office romance and youth love story. few of the moments where it's totally hit the nail, very relatable to reality is how sometimes when one is at her/his lowest moments, there isn't really a prince charming/princess (or anyone) standing there to 'rescue' you, and that, is reality. the recovering-from-breakup moments (or being dumped), oh my, that rollercoaster emotion is pretty spot on. lastly, really hats off to Yoo In Na for the courage to show us that side of her. It may not be the best but definitely worth my time.
Dang! This series is good! Film quality, excellent casting! Thank god they added interesting characters towards the end, though i wished big bro Busan (Choi Moo-sik) was brought in earlier vs Mr Cha but still good! Shipping for season 3!!
Really like this! Pacing was good, characters were good and most of all, it's very refreshing to see this set of casting! One thing really stood out for me was that the female lead do actually possessed all of that martial skills in real life! Kudos! Would really like to see more shows like this, casting people that has the skill similar to the character, good job to the casting team and the actors!
kept thinking if adult Park Yeon Jin were played by Son Ye Jin that would have better resemblance of her younger version. Plus it will be way more interesting
*spoiler alert* there's something about the ending i'm not quite sure..maybe some can help solve this puzzle > <
so..the house-gardener used the golden spoon and swapped with "Hwang Taeyong" before he gets poisoned. However "Hwang Taeyong" is not the real Hwang Taeyong, no? so In Theory, gardener should ended up as Lee Seung Chan, no? And the aspiring webtoon artist "Lee Seung Chan"..will return as the real Hwang Taeyong? haha gosh *head hurts* however if it's based on the drama, then it will seems like a vicious cycle and perhaps that's why they end it that way so that there's room for season 2? :)
anyhow, the story has got a lot of potential but somehow it was very draggy and annoying in some episodes. the only enjoying part would be the munki assistant and Seung Chan's sister.
So in s2, are they going to abandon jby’s body? The great priestess.. in order for naksu to come back in her…
i was thinking the same as well. that would be quite interesting as well. I just realised jung so min is not returning in S2, can't help but to think there might be some disappointment in s2, hope not!
I do miss seeing Seo In Guk playing such character, reminds me of Prince Louis :) However I just realised i'm dragging my way through the drama and I'm only at ep 10! Don't know if i can continue..
i am a fan! gotta admit that the crimes/story are more dull and less interesting compared to season 1 or any other crime dramas but here are what i love about this show and would definitely vouch for season 3! - the casts: they are all great actors! kudos to the production team for bringing back almost ALL of the actors from season 1 (only exception is the reporter we all like) and have them as part of the story instead of just being there. respect to all the actors who joined the show. - story/plot: indeed it does not have any interesting crimes and plot but i think they tried to make season 2 a light hearted-warming crime drama instead of an intense drama, focusing more on human relationship? - the bromance and detective-relationship! from the love-torn relationship between Chief Moon and the detectives, to the care & love amongst the detectives. Mango (Man Goo) and Jin Woong in ep 8 really got me there! - Good Times, the OST! At the end of each episode when the ost being played, it just perks me up! :)
i'll be honest, it's not a 9/10 nor 8/10 drama, sometimes a light hearted drama could also make a :) day! *just my 2 cents. enjoy!
100%!
