I like romance too but I admit I really kinda hate melodrama :x I usually end up skipping the most melodramatic scenes in the dramas I watch. I prefer laughing to crying :)
And your faves all seem very interesting :D I haven't seen any of those yet though hahahah but they're all on my PTW list. Right now I'm too engrossed watching My girlfriend is a Gumiho, but right after I finish that one I'm planning on picking up another drama. Which one out of those 3 you mentioned would you recommend I watch first? :D

As I came back to MAL I also remembered that the dorama Liar Game was based on a manga. So you can read that isntead of watching the dorama if you like. It's really interesting.
I've never seen code geass :x so I can't compare. As for Death Note, I honestly think Liar Game is a lot smarter and much more interesting than Death Note. But, hey, that's just my opinion. Everyone is so crazy about death note, I just can't figure out why.

My top 5 here is Liar Game, Kagi no Kakatta Heya, Personal Taste, You're Beautiful and Hotaru no Kikari. But sometimes I feel this top 5 is kinda unfair, there is also Coffee Prince, which I love with a passion <3

hmmm...If you are interested in other types of drama I'd recommend maybe Liar Game. It's Japanese, don't worry(since you said you hate Korea XD )and it's pretty fun! at least I thought so hehe (it's my #1 dorama on my faves list here)
I know you like actionbut unfortunately I don't know a lot of action dramas :/ But even though Liar Game isn't action per say, it's still really thrilling cause its plot keeps surprising you. It involves a lot of thinking and strategizing though, dunno if that's smtgh that'd appeal to you

Not only from City HUnter, there are a lot of easter eggs hidden throughout the episodes. There's music from a quite a few other dramas in there as well :)

Agreed! Amnesia is so cheesy... it was disappointing. But given the cliffhanger from the end of last episode I really have hopes this anmesia thing will get sorted out quickly.

Same here o/ real life is currently kicking my butt. It's been this way since the beginning of the year actually. But I'm really glad I'm being able to find a little bit of time to catch up on my drama PTW list :D
