just some thoughts on this series as someone who has watched the og and literally ALL the skam remakes. this is definitely as skam remake even though they state its not. Its pretty much the same storyline, same characters. However it also feels quite different and this is why i was worried and south korea announced they would remake it. I definitely dont dislike it, but there seems to be significantly little dialogue in the scenes, some scenes left out that would provided much needed context or more depth (like the forming of the friendship between main girl and the new transfer student who i presume is noora) as well as the friendship between the 2 boys playing isac and jonas. I do really like that they added a SEA girlie into the group tho. I feel like because the episodes are short they can only do so much. But than again if i compare this to skam nl who also had really short episodes, they were able to add significantly more depth. and i would like to say that this is NOT a bl, it does have a gay character, but his storyline wont be fleshed out until season 3 (which i dont think we will be getting). I will continue to watch this and hope it improves!, it does feel different from other korean dramas so im very hopeful!

are we watching the same show? this is such a weird take and a deep direspect of jiwon as a person. if you actually stop letting your blatant bias blind you, you'll see she's such a caring and mature person and jaehyung is quite clearly into. she literally said she is only interested in jaehyung at the moment idk where you're getting this info from

the writing was sooo ass my god

okayy ill try to bring you up to speed. some things to take note of
- this was filmed quite some months ago
-it is not revealed if any of the couples are dating now but it probaly will be this week as it is the last episode
- no one has left the show

so basically, dongwook (one of the boys) and soomin have liked each other basically from the 1st or 2nd episode. Junyeong also expressed that he liked soomin in the first few episodes however it was clear in the later episodes that soomin did not feel the same for him, she only has eyes for dongwook. However the thing is, Soomin is like a professional piano player so after the show ends she's going to germany to study thus there is a lot of times where she cries about the prospect of her and dongwook not being able to be together in the future due to long distance.

now concerning Junyeong, he understood pretty quickly imo that dongwook and soomin were into each so yeah ig he moved on. Him and yuri have always been very comfortable and clingy around each other, probably because their both from the USA and they naturally bonded. However in the last episode, they've started exploring the prospect of a romantic relationship eg they went on a date. However i dont think they end up together.
so yeahh if you want to watch the show, just find the link on the reddit discussions.

basically the couples, who may be dating are: soomin x dongwook, sungyoon x hyein, ahyeon x hyesung (there was also a lil love triangle concerning this but it was resolved last episode) and yuri x junyeong. my personal favourite couple who do NOT get enough screen time are ahyeon and hyesung.

I really do feel abd for ryewon, but the way she kept bringing up hyesung in front of ahyeon when they were getting for bed, kinda knowing he has a thing for ahyeon felt kinda targeted imo. I felt really bad for ahyeon in that moment

the first episode was really good, there was a lot of talking but i think they're just trying to set the background and the context. I really love how its filmed, especially the ending of ep 1, its clear the production have put so much work into this

to be honest I think she is just a little naive and doesn't know much. she simply saw the chance to change her future and not be unhappy and took ut. I think this shows how much she hates living in that environment with her parents and its honestly kinda sad
