the episode with the brother hit WAY to close to home i was genuinely bawling at the end, same with the grandma…
the fact that you can understand both the responses and behaviours of the brothers and no one is really to blame is really a testament to the drama's ability to flesh out characters
the episode with the brother hit WAY to close to home i was genuinely bawling at the end, same with the grandma episode. Yes this drama is simple and adorable, but it manages to convey mundane things in such a beautiful and emotional way. probably my top 5 dramas EVER like thats how much i love it
this may be the cutest drama i have ever watched. The ml and fl are ADORABLE, the fl stands up for herself( like when she didnt accept the apology), the ml represents us introverts so WELL and the friendship group is so heartwarming. aghh its been a long time since i have felt this way about a drama
From the look of the trailer it looks like it may be one of the best dramas of the year. Also so excited for the pairing of the main actors as they are 2 of the most talented young actors imo.
This is one of he worst dramas ive watched in a long time and thats saying something. Theres absolutely nothing redeeamabke about it. The acting was also not that great but they did the best they could imo with that god awful script
yeah dropped this at episode 6. Both leads are unlikable, the ml even more so. I genuinely don't understand why the fl likes the ml so much and it's frustrating to see her act kinda pathetic for him, especially with that ex girlfriend sub plot. The ml is just manipulative, possessive (the lipstick) and very immature, tbh they dont give off the vibe or maturity of a divorced couple. There's also imo, a lack of chemistry so it makes it extremely hard for me to root for the couple, so tbh i dont think i can watch any more episodes of them together.
This had SO much potential. BEAUTIFUL cinematography that truly stands it apart from other jdramas as well as great actors who truly portray authenticity so well.
But my god the plot and characterisation was a mess. I came in with high expectations and was left so disappointed. I am absolutely SICK of the amnesia storyline in j-dramas/films. Its cliche, outdated and imo quite a lazy plot point. It annoys me how they chose such a route given the resources they had.
also I found the creepy and stalkerish, like lets not romanticize some of that behaviour :) They younger storyline was so much better to watch.
I see some of the most hyped mediocrity on this website in recommendations. is this movie anything like that?
I think its difficult to say because it definitely cliche and the ending takes a twist but one that has been done many times particularly in asian movies however i still found it quite enjoyable. It's definitely not the best movie ever made but if you want something to make you feel good and wholesome (for most of it) with decent leads this is movie to watch
I loved everything about this movie EXCEPT the ending. I thought it was lazy, rushed and unecessary. I get that it's a 'realistic situation' or whatever but there was nothing insinuating that it would end like that, it felt like a last minute decision, like if your gonna do that that you have to build it up or at least subtly hint. IDK i see so many movies do this and it's getting annoying. Over than that i adored the main leads chemistry. Very Wholesome.
I’m sorry, I just didn’t get what you mean by excellent cinematography? It’s pretty basic all the way through.…
Oh sorry I guess I mean more the colour grading than the actual cinematography? I should have used a different word. A lot of contemporary chinese drama's like the vast majority tend to be too light an inconsistent, and I just like how all the colors mesh well and its consistent.
It's a comedy. But while watching the first two episodes, I didn't smile once. The villain isn't fierce enough…
look, i get its unrealistic in some aspects but its literally a fantasy genre and keep in mind its a CDRAMA. Like Just say you hate fun and go. Im personally finding it hilarious
Im sorry but does anyone feel like this is quite different from any other cdrama that does this trope in the best way possible? Like we have well written characters a fast paced yet logical plot (for fantasy lol) and not to mention the excellent cinematography. Also the leads are so good, couldnt imagine any other actors playing them. Lmao i know its been only 6 episodes but its on track to being my favourite drama of the year.
okay, although it was kinda cliche it was entertaining the majority of the time but I feel like some of the scenes were quite draggy. I found the acting quite good actually i think the main problem for me was the writing. Whilst it is inherent this is a fictional dystopian piece i feel like the interactions between the students seemed kinda unnatural idk how to word it but i will say that this had so much potential.
