I understand why you would think like that, i just thought you were specifically talking about this drama, which i doubt they would cast the lead role based on fame (these are sky castle directors and writers!) rather based on skill.

hmmm, i dont think you're understanding my point. I understand that you think idols are in a position of privelege and can bag lead roles which prevents aspiring actors from obtaining a chance. but i disagree with you, as i said before, this cast is full of renowned actors and I think jisoo must have been tailored for the role- the mentality that we should only give acting roles to aspiring actors and not idol turned actors 1. undermines jisoo acting ability (when you havent seen her act yet!) and 2. may result in the final outcome not being as good as it could have been.

im sorry this is weird behaviour. This director and writer are renowned in the industry and as you said there are amazing actors and actresses in this cast so i dont they would be stupid an cast someone who didnt fit the role all for the mere extra popularity (when there are already popular acors and actresses in the cast)
