Title Padiwaradda Spoiler
This one affects me quite a lot but not all is positive.
I can see why people rave about the mature love that slowly develops between the two lead characters but honestly the story line involving the SFL made me so anxious many many times. It
made me that way because it seemed (right up until the second last episode) that she would triumph in the love triangle and the ML would go back to her, even if just out of pity at the end.
She and the very tense obstacles that she put in the way of the main couple were almost too strong to make their love story believable. I think she was introduced too early and it didn't give the main leads enough time to even start falling in love before she was there in typical slut fashion throwing herself at him, contriving misunderstandings, shamelessly telling every one that she was already his
wife by de facto. In fact making me as a viewer just give up any hope that the pure and long suffering FL would ever win his heart.
He didn't help matters either. In typical Lakorn ML fashion, he did nothing to push her away, or discourage her outrageous behavior, something totally disrespectful of his wife and even when
he professed to love his wife (the story did explain why he found it hard to love again) he still spent time with and supported this totally selfish bitch ex girlfriend.
He was immature, often not speaking to his wife for days. He was full of pride, so that when she suddenly became someone of high social standing, he pushed her away because he couldn't handle it. In fact he was a jerk many times but beautifully played by James so I could never totally dislike the character. He did experience growth at the end and realised that he had handled his relationship badly and he did change for the better. The deep and meaningful talks he had with his mother helped him mature.
So this one has a slow burn romance which is lovely at the end and quite realistically portrayed.
It has a truly hateable second female lead who gets away with everything in the end dammit! It has a loving, supportive family for the FL and a loving mother & mum in law for the ML &FL.
The secondary characters were all engaging and the side story of the two sisters was interesting. There was also a good storyline involving bandits and this produced some action.
It does have a dreamlike quality about it, due to the historical setting and the slow dreamy music.
Re-watch. Maybe. I do love historical dramas but this one did leave me with an uneasy feeling every time that bloody ex girlfriend came into the picture, which was a lot!

Rewatching this again and agree with you. The noble idiocy plot twist towards the end wasn't necessary. And Er…
Yes I guess we have to put up with these sort of second male lead characters in dramas to keep the tension running throughout the the show but this one seemed more pathetic and annoying than most.
On Coffee Prince Feb 14, 2023
An absolute classic which is still contemporary with the themes, settings etc. In fact the only thing which dates it at all is the type of mobile phone they use, otherwise it could have been produced
this year. An engrossing fully developed story with dimensional characters you come to love and played superbly by the cast. The tension of the agonising decision the ML has to make and then the subsequent events in the lead couple's life make for absolutely compelling viewing. It's the sort of drama where you wish that the story kept on going because you want to see and involve more in their lives. Highly recommended viewing if you want a classy production, compelling and
entertaining story and superb acting. No one in the cast over played or under played their role. No evil love rivals or family to worry about but you are still glued to the screen throughout the 17 eps with no slow or draggy parts.
A must watch.

Title Mystic Whispers Spoiler
Surprisingly good little series. I really enjoyed it. Each story had a moral lesson such as loving your self no matter your size, taking care of your mental health, child abuse, cell phone addiction. Each
ep is a story in itself and very well written. A cute couple who are very sweet. The last ep gave background to one of the characters and allowed the couple to cement their relationship and enjoy a happy ending. A great short length series which won't stress you out, gives good story lines and acting, a pretty lead couple, no love rivals and some serious themes handled very well but it still
manages to remain light and entertaining without being preachy. The horror elements were well done but not too scary.
I recommend it for a fun, carefree watch.
On Love at First Hate Feb 11, 2023
A fun and lighthearted story with no love triangles. The FL character (Mook) is really irritating in the first eps. Unreasonable, proud, full of her own self importance, until the ML brings her
back to earth with his own brand of cheekiness. A good support cast , a flirtatious (with the FL) ML who turns into a sweet, goofy, clingly love. Adorable. Lots of real kisses and skinship with
very natural, affectionate touching throughout. The Mother in law was a bitch but you can't
get away from controlling parents in Asian drama. Good story with enough tension to keep
you interested but no over the top melodrama. Good looking cast and beautiful outfits as
always. A nice watch if you're looking for an angst free, light and happy story with no real
triggers like forced intimacy, rape, slapping, infidelity etc. Just lots of cute fun.
On Don’t Mess with Ex-Girlfriend Feb 10, 2023
Nice and light and short. The ML was sweetly devoted to the FL and treated her with respect and support. There were no serious love rivals (the one there was only lasted for a couple of eps but he
was never swayed.) The FL was strong without being obstinate and gladly accepted his help and support. The supporting cast were good, especially the two (mother and daughter-in-law) bad girls
who tried their best but could never suceed in winning in the end. It is a great little story, well acted, nice production values, lovely costumes and a happy ending of course. Would rewatch for a quick
'happy' fix.

Title Neung Nai Suang Spoiler
Same as the 2015 remake but with the delicious Ken and gorgeous Janie which puts it ahead of the remake for me.
It's been a while since i watched the 2015 version so I had forgotten that certain things really annoy me about the FL character. She was stubborn to the point of cruel when she kept insisting that she didn't love him. The remake allows you to feel more sympathetic to her because of the cunning, malicious plot of the SFL who kept making her misunderstand that P'Neung didn't really love her. Ken delivers emotion so well in this one (and in all of his work) that you just feel so sorry for him. Something I didn't feel as much for the ML in the remake.
Love the period costumes, especially the gorgeous dresses. And the period correct music was lovely. An enjoyable watch with no draggy moments. The story keeps you interested throughout.
On La Ong Dao Feb 3, 2023
Title La Ong Dao Spoiler
Love this one! Enjoyed every moment. The story was interesting and the characters relatable. The ML who was suitably stupid with low EQ, at first rejected the forced marriage with his adopted
sister because he hasn't seen her for ten yeas and thinks she's still fat and ugly, but of couse she's turned into a beautiful swan.
He meets her after he rejects her on the phone and falls instantly in love with her but then spends almost the next 14.5 episodes pushing her away, insisting on a brother/sister relationship even
though everyone else around them could see that he was desperately in love with her and making himself miserable.
It's only when she prevents him from becoming a monk that he comes to his senses.
The FL character is cold and unforgiving. After being slighted in the first ep she is very cold to him until the very end, refusing his care and love for her (even as a brother). The poor fool did a
stupid thing in the first ep and paid for it for the rest of the drama!
Her resolute decision to act cold and indifferent to him (even though she loved him) was at first admirable, then tiresome and by the end, downright annoying.
He is one of the nicest Alpha type ML's I've seen. Apart from the fateful phone call in the first ep which at worst was unthinking, selfish and callous, he always treated her with respect, kindness
and love. He was overly protective & jealous of her (without realising that he was like that because he loved her as more than a sister) and tried to control her movement and personal life but did
step back and allow her to live life on her terms.
I liked this drama because there was no violence towards women, the ML treated the FL respectfully (apart from his early jealousy), and I didn't absolutely loathe the SFL.
The SFL was everything an evil Lakorn girl should be; vain, greedy, slutty. a bitch, jealous, grasping, promiscuous, a gold digger, low-class etc etc. She got her just desserts in the end.
So this Lakorn is a def re-watch for me even though some may find it slow moving and the romance is definitely slow burn and there's no skinship. Just a chaste forehead kiss during the happy ever after ending. I think the leads do have a nice chemistry. The period details, especially the costumes and big old cars were lovely to see.
Worth a watch for me.

Title Hua Jai Teuan Spoiler
SPOILERS! DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN.

I hate dramas where we all know that the ML and FL will end up together but they spend the
first 8 or so eps stuffing around with someone else, making it look like they are the true love
interest. It automatically triggers my aversion to infidelity. It makes me feel that although the ML & FL haven't got together yet , they'res still being unfaithful! Ridicuulous I know. It
cheeses me off no end. This one actually has the leads denying their feelings and planning to marry others right up until the last half hour of the whole series!
This one is further complicated by the ML, Pak, pretending he doesn't like the FL, Ohr, at all and trying to pair her up with his best mate. He actually tries to force them together right up
until the very last ep..
Episode thoughts. from Ep 7 on.
ep 7) :he's going to rescue her from a forced marriage 'supposedly' to help his best friend
Warin out so that Warin can still have her. Can't help but like Om though. He's unusual looking in a very attractive way.. I feel sorry for the FL. Every body is trying to force her to do what
they want. Her uncle & aunt are trying to make her marry the brat Pok, her friend is trying to match her with her brother Warin and of course our hero tries to force them together
throughout the series also. Poor girl, she just placidly complies. I can understand her not
objecting to the marriage part because she feels indebted to uncle & aunt who raised her, but why doesn't she put her foot down with Warin? aargh!
Claire, the wanna be girlfriend is another one who really irritates. Pak has told her that they
are just friends but she still hangs around him like a bad smell, making everyone think they are together, very affectionate to him etc Part of that is his fault. you don't cuddle up to a woman you just want to be friends with. He's sending her mixed messages.
Ep 9 and he kidnaps the FL, still insisting that he's doing it for his friend Warin. Tells her she
shouldn't be marrying someone she doesn't love but then forces her to go through a pretend marriage himself. That doesn't make any sense. This is where the ilogical writing starts to
really shine through.
Ep 11 he's still leading Warin on, making him believe that he's bringing her back to give to
Warin, filling the stupid fool with false hope. His is actually doing that because he's denying
his own feelings for her and won't admit them. Oh and look! some nifty artificial plot devices
to keep the tension and prevent the FL from returning home. But wait, there's more!
Ep 12 looks like his uncle has promised him in marriage to some bloody random chick that's
met him oh I dunno.....once! Yep so he's going to marry this random chic and Ohr is going to
marry Warin. What a load of ***
Ep 13. Pak the loser is still planning to pair her up with Warin. This is just so aggravating. I
think I'm gonna steer clear of this sort of drama for a while. Blood pressure going up! Uncle is still insisting Pak marries the random chick. Why do these old people interfere so much in
their children's lives.? They all need to get their own life. The poor girl is kidnapped again, this time by the bad guy. She gets passed around by these men like a sack of potatoes. After
reading her diary Pak is finally beginning to admit to himself that he loves her -DUH!
Ep 14 never has a drama made me so frustrated. He wants her to run away with him but when she hesitates he just pretends he was 'testing' her for Warin and he'll deliver her to Warin in
the morning. What a stupid sod.
Ep 15 and they're still stuffing around with the other love interests. this is so aggravating to
watch. Warin is all naive and thick as a brick talking to his dad about marrying her. She of
course says STUFF ALL. just lets it happen. Meanwhile Pak is ringing her telling her he's
staying with the random chick. By all means buddy. Stay with the random chick and I hope
both you moron main leads will find someone else to put up with you. Both still dancing
around each other, making plans to marry someone else. I just don't care anymore. The only
way out of this is for Warin and Ohm's girlfriends to be really making a plan to get these two
idiots together. Otherwise, there's not enough time left in the series for Warin's story to be
wound up happily. He's just going to end up heartbroken with a crummy friend and moronic
woman who should have told him no about ten episodes ago. At the moment these two leads
are just using other people to hurt the other one. Bloody toxic relationship. Right so the only
reason he breaks up with the random chick is because she wants to marry someone else.
Otherwise we are to suppose that he would have gone ahead and married her. What a
ridiculous, flimsy artificial plot device to 'get rid' of that particular problem. The writers must have realised they were running out of time and thought nuts! what are we gonna do? I know! Let's marry her off to someone else. Ridiculous! right so finally Pak tells Ohr he loves her
when Warin is sitting in the house trusting that his 'buddy' is just talking business. and THEN
he tells her he will return the family home to her if she agrees to marry Warin. WTH!!!! i
DUNNO IF HE'S TESTING HER OR IF THIS IS JUST SOME STUFFED UP ILLOGICAL
WRITING. SHEEEESH
ep 16
I'm so glad I'm nearing the end of this trainwreck. Talk about over the top melodrama. It rivals the best Cdrama for angst and twists inthe plot. Poor Warin, it's just so unfair to him. He has
no idea that she doesn't care about him and is just marrying him to spite Pak. What an idiot.
So our dear ML is back with the girlfriend Claire and this is the last episode so I'm assuming
that if our moronic pair are going to end up together, it's going to be a last minute thing.
It's decided. This is just a badly written train wreck lakorn. The only thing this girlfriend Claire did right ,was to realise that Pak loves Ohr and she leaves him. Otherwise, again, he would
have hooked up with her. Same with Ohr and Warin. Warin breaks it off during the ceremony
and plans to lure Pak to the ceremony so he can finally admit his feelings and marry Ohr.
Otherwise, she would have gone ahead with the ceremony. These are weak plot points.
Oh dear.
Phew. Finally finished it. The ending tied everything up. Warin didn't seem to care less.
(illogical) The two dopey leads got married and had a bub on the way after getting shot and
making us believe they had both died together on their wedding day. The horrible step father and poor excuse of a mother repented and reconciled with Pak. His brother Pok experienced
the most charater growth and turned out really nicely with his little mrs and bub on the way.
So it ended well but I really don't think I'll be watching this one too often, no matter how much I like Om. And lastly to add insult to injury. FAKE KISSES.
On Oh My Ghost Jan 26, 2023
Title Oh My Ghost Spoiler
Although this one came before the Thai remake, I prefer the Thai version. This one is slower
moving somehow and the ghost persona of the FL is super annoying in her agressiveness in
the first half, pestering Chef to 'do it' (AKA sexual harrassment) and then in her
selfishness remaining in her host body so she can enjoy time with the Chef, thus denying the
host FL any sort of meaningful interaction or bonding with him.
The ghost persona occupies probably 90% of the time the ML and FL interact and 'fall in love', in the first half, so he obviously falls in love with the ghost and not the FL. They try to switch it
later on when he feels that he really likes the FL for herself and not the ghost but it's hard to
buy into it until the last four eps..
They've had very little time to develop their relationship and get to know one another as the
ghost has been possessing her for most of the show and every positive interaction the ML has with her is when the ghost is possessing her.
For the last four eps she is herself and he likes her so I was able to switch my disbelief and buy into their relationship.
In the last four eps the FL grows in confidence and skill as a chef and it actually does lead you
to believe that he falls in love with her. He may have liked her from the beginning but by the
end of the show he is really in love with her and their relationship is devoted and solid.
The storyline is super cute (apart from the pestering ghost) with charming comedy, a sizzling
chemistry between the leads, no evil love rivals, a mystery to solve, thriller elements and some dark moments. Althogether very well written and balanced.
The supporting casts do a great job with lots of comedy. The Thai ML is able to portray a cute
childishness in his relationship that this Korean ML doesn't quite pull off (although he's lovely eye candy and a great actor). But our ML in this version comes across as more mature,
sensitive, caring, supportive and protective. An ideal life partner. It's so attractive when he
cries because he's missing her!!
Everything is wound up beautifully in the happy ending, the FL grows a lot in confidence and
you can see how their partnership will have a bright future.
So if you can convince yourself that he really does love the FL and was just confused regarding the ghost persona, you'll enjoy this one immensely.
On Pin Anong Jan 24, 2023
Title Pin Anong Spoiler
The only thing that saves this for me is Weir. He always does a good job and is always a treat to look at. The skinship scenes between his character and Pin Anong are lovely and there's great
chemistry between this pair. However....
The Pin Anong character is just so irritating and unlikeable. In the beginning she's the typical doormat. In the middle she does so many things to hurt Yai (Weir's character) like betraying him again and again, lying, pretending to have an affair and pregnancy with another man etc. All the while hurting Yai over and over. He remains faithful, even through his anger and hurt. In the end they reconcile and work together to defeat the bad guys. The happy ending is adorable but I'm afraid I was never able to warm up to her character.
The other characters are good. The story has a lot of interesting twists and turns with something happening all the time to move the story forward but it still doesn't manage to really grab me
like other lakorns. Watching Weir is enough to go through to the end but he's done some much better stuff I can watch so I probably won't bother re-watching this one.
On Majurat See Nam Pueng Jan 22, 2023
Title Majurat See Nam Pueng Spoiler
Ken as usual, is fantastic in his role. Completely believable as the emotionally scarred, cold hearted, cruel and ruthless ML who despite his best efforts at keeping his contracted wife at arms
length, falls completely in love with her and is won over by her goodness and perseverance. She handles his cruellty and insulting behavior and not one, but two evil witches who try to steal him
from her with grace and dignity and eventually wins not only his heart, but changes the heart of her cruel adopted mother and demented younger sister and friend of her husband who has an
unrequited love for him (these two are determined to steal her husband).
It has an interesting side story of tea growing and the Thai mountain people, as well as two other men who love Rojanasanai but although Ken's character Paat, does have a good character growth and learns to forgive, I don't find the character very sympathetic because he was really mean to her for over half the show. But of course I can never hate one of Ken's characers no matter what they do.
Of the two evil love rivals, the younger sister Pok is plain crazy but the friend of Khun Paat's, Uraat, is the most loathsome to me. Trying all she can to break their marriage and take her place as
Madame, even going so far as to come into their home and claim her baby is Paat's. Such a leech of a character and one I truly felt no sympathy for. So the actress did a good job there.
Supporting characters were all good with the mother being very unlikeable as well.
This is the sort of story which hasn't really dated that well, is cliche ridden, has fake kisses (hate that) and a weak FL who is played not very convincingly by the actress.
As usual Ken saves the show. Re watch value, for the story-meh, but for Ken-yeah sure.

On Flash Marriage Jan 21, 2023
Title Flash Marriage Spoiler
A great watch. Absolutely hate the mongrel of a father and even though he comes to like Pong at the end, his actions in the early eps were still loathesome. . He certainly takes the prize for the worst father award. Judges Pong entirely on his monetary worth (or what he thinks is lack of it), and develops a contemptuous hatred for him, encouraging the other dysfunctional family members to do the same. What a loser. He's destroyed his family by his self centred actions and then wonders why his family doesn't love each other like other families., so he's stupid as well. But he certainly improves a great deal and at the end you come to understand him a little and I warmed up to him.
The relationship between the two mains was adorable and sweet. Full of mutual respect, love and sacrifice. The only negative I have about their scenes together is that the FL actress always looked so uncomfortable when she was physically close to her ML co-star (who is undeniably attractive in his way). She screwed up her face every time they kissed and her lips were closed and
completely frozen. So that was noticeably fake and took away some of the believability for me.
The ML character was a wonderful partner for her, smart and protective, loyal, sensitive
and kind. The kind you could feel safe with while enjoying a passionate, life long love.
The others did a fine job with their acting. Really getting in to their characters, making you either love or hate them as the script dictated.
Aunt Nut, who is the father's third wife, is a sweet and lovely character who always supports Lin. Why that lovely young woman would waste her life on that old man is beyond me.
There are some commentators trying to figure out the family dynamics and I think it's as follows; Dad married Darika because she was pregnant but has never loved her. They had Nat before
he took Lin's mother as second wife. Then Lin was born. Dad and Darika had Phrao after that and at some point, Lin's mother died. Dad has always loved Lin and her mother best. Then he took
Aunt Nut as his third wife. Nut and Darika are still living in the same household as a blended family with Lin and the others. What a mess!!! I'm assuming this sort of dynamic only happens in fiction. The family (minus the bad guys of course) ends up reconciled and accepting of Pong but the mother (Darika) and the older sister Nat did a number of criminal activities which in reality they would have been punished for, but anything goes in Lakorn world.
The storyline is interesting but there are some parts which dragged and I think the lack of skinship between the leads makes this a mystery thriller with an understated, slow burn
romance rather than the other way around. It's a good watch.
On Spice Up Jan 21, 2023
Title Spice Up
Average story with below average acting by the FL. Overacting at times and can't act at all most times.
All her facial expressions, mannerisms and physical movements are way over done. She's plays an extremely irritating, spoiled brat who doesn't improve much through most of the show.
The saving grace of this one is of course, Patrick Lee in one of his earlier roles but his comedic talent shines through.
This one has a heavy emphasis on meddling, conniving, manipulating parents who try to force their children into relationships with partners who they deem to be 'the best' for their children, regardless of what the children want. This is an infuriating plot device which I despise the most and makes me dislike the parent characters the most out of this drama.
The storyline itself is fairly basic with a lot of the usual cliches, misunderstandings, controlling parents, unrequited love, ex-girlfriends showing up etc. Nothing new.
It appears to be a lower budget production with none of the luxury and opulence of most modern Chinese dramas. An okay watch with nothing which will get you anxious but not really
worth a re watch for me.

Bad girl was just a little too crazy for me. But the actress played it brilliantly. Great story with some lovely skinship and real kisses. But honestly the evil that the 2FL got up to is just really tense and
makes me uncomfortable and anxious. Also there's a couple of scenes when he thinks Bow killed his sister and he pretends to put Bow's wedding ring on the evil girl's finger in front of Bow.
It really gets me so upset I've never been able to watch those scenes in full yet.
Great acting by both leads. Very believable and natural with sizzling chemistry.
One thing that really irks me is that the ML spends half of the show exacting vengeance on Bow
(the woman he loves) because he thinks Bow killed his sister. But when the real bad girl is proven to have done it, he simply says in one little phrase, 'I forgave her' What the heck!!' How inconsistent.
Love this one but still have to skip some scenes for peace of mind. I'll watch them one day.

Title I Hear You Spoiler
A sweet little story. with a not too draggy plot. Riley Wang just gorgeous of course and he played the cold, arrogant lead very well but when he fell in love his expression began to change and you
saw smiles and those lovely dimples a lot. His character seemed to be more emotionally invested in their relationship than the female lead character. But then his character was an older, more
mature personality than the FL character.
The last two eps as others commentators have said, were an unneccessary development in the plot. She made some stupid decisions which did nothing to further their relationship or the
storyline, so they're just fillers. The ending is happy but felt rushed.
You can go up to the marriage proposal in Ep 23 and then just skip to the last ten mins or so of Ep 24 and you won't have missed anything except those dumb plot twists which were nonsense but
not devestatingly terrible.
The FL character (played by one of my Fav female actors, Zhao Lu Si) is indeed a very childish and immature character and it's amazing that the ML character put up with her silliness and
immature decisions. She did grow through the show and stuck to her dreams. Zhao Lu Si always plays her roles with a natural ability but I do prefer her in Dating in the Kitchen where her
chemistry with her much older co-star, Lin Yu Shen is sky high.
On a second viewing, I found the story arc of Bei Eurdoa's bestie, Tang Li to be the most well developed, strong character who owned her life and made decisions for her own happiness.
I don't think the ambiguous relationship she had with her business partner (Yu Sheng) was toxic. He just wasn't the one for her, until she found her soulmate, Mars.
So altogether an enjoyable little watch with an understated, slow burn romance between the leads and some interesting storyline about their careers and life choices.
Some eps were definitely filler material as nothing much really happened to further the
character's development or the storyline but they are interesting enough to keep me watching.
The two most irritating characters in this one are Bei Er Duo's mother (who never shut up for each scene she was in) and the stalker wanna be boyfriend, Le Tian, who wouldn't take no for
answer and keep showing up in her life even after she rejected him firmly. Those sort of guys need a boot. Thankfully Ye Shu Wei was always one step ahead of him and firmly in control.
I didn't give it a 10 because of the irritating plot developments in the last two eps and the over done immaturity of the FL character which made the whole relationship a little less believable.
A happy watch which won't make you too stressed.
