Great story with super cute ML. Crazy as SFL who makes it so tense it's someties hard to watch. Satisfying period of separation when FL takes some time to forgive him. He deserved it! But a happy ending. Sizzling hot chemistry between the leads and amazing skinship, steamy kiss scenes etc. Unusually for a lakorn the kisses were the real deal. They look very natural together. The ML certainly makes the romance scenes seem enthusiastically realistic. The music is beautiful and the OST is lovely with a great male singer (actually the ML actor, Big M). The scenery, with settings in Thailand and Italy, is just beautiful. The costumes are rich and gorgeous. For a slap/kiss I didn't actually see any slaps at all (may have missed, but I don't think so) Even though he treats her badly, he does not physically abuse her (she is a willing partner) but his deception and cruel breakup after believing the lies of the crazy evil guy/girl are what causes the problem. He is respectful of women and makes statements which reflect modern beliefs in the treatment of women and their dignity and worth. A good side story as well with the evil step mother and brother. No major plotholes or leaps in logic that I could see. A great show with huge re-watch value. I didn't give it a 10, only because the evil girl was just too bad for me. On my favourites list.
I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Full of b***h slapping, slutty females, tom cat male leads and a stupid FL who just begs to be abused by anyone who wants to try. A poorly written story propped up with any lakorn cliche they could think of. As others have said the ML did treat the FL well, apart from the fact that he continued to sleep with his girlfriend even after he began sleeping with his wife, even bringing the mad tart home to share meals and generally fling herself all over him like a demented leech. He insulted his wife by his actions. However the FL character was one dimensional and didn't show any depth of emotion anyway. I've never seen the actress in anything else so I won't judge her acting because let's face it, none of them had good material to work with in the first place! I've never felt insulted just by watching a lakorn until I came across this one. This is now the first on my 'I'll never watch this rubbish again' list. Phew! Rant over.
Slickly produced with gorgeous sets and costumes. An interesting storyline revolving around the gem industry and jewelry design. I only watched from episode 36 to end. Straight after they broke up. The ML character was a real jerk and did so much to humiliate and hurt her but somehow you could see he was hurting too. Just had to keep watching for when he realised that he'd misunderstood her and she was innocent. Then it was good to see that she didn't forgive him immediately,. He had to suffer some before she came round and forgave him and for the rest of the show he was super cute and supportive of her. BUT I'm still torn about whether I would reconcile with someone after they did that to me. Forgive them yes, but I don't think I'd let them back in my heart. But then it wouldn't be Cdrama if they didn't get back together! there was good character growth in the ML though..
The 2FL and her evil mother were super bad girls who really got off too lightly in the end. The FL was strong,intelligent, resourceful & all good things. Although I understand she made some questionable decisions in the earlier eps which may explain partly why the ML reacted so badly at their first wedding. All ended happy and well.
A good, well written & acted drama with a logical and interesting storyline. I probably would only watch clip highlights again. It's a big investment for me to watch 50 plus episodes of roller coaster melodrama so I'll spend my time watching something I haven't seen yet.
At first i didn't think I was going to like this one. The first couple of eps were slow. But the story hooked me in the end. Although it was a fairly slow moving story, it was sweet. Three evil girls (mother and daughter and mother of her friend) which were ineffectual despite their best efforts to derail the romance and capture the ML for marriage. . Although they did do some nasty things. I was annoyed by the ML attitude for the first half of it with all the put downs he was giving the FL and she said nothing. A door mat yet again. I swear these earlier Lakorns are written by a bunch of mysogynists! But he became sweet &cute in the last half. Some lovely side characters in her adopted siblings, her parents (Uncle and Aunt), her pupil & brother, her friends -in fact everybody except the bad girls. My first period piece (set in the 50's I'm guessing) and the costumes and period pieces were fun. Fake kisses as usual. Re=watch. Probably.
My very first Japanese production and I loved it. Funny, quirky and with a very well developed story line which had elements of humor (lots), slapstick, drama and tears. Strong character growth in the ML and a consistently morbidly funny performance from the FL. Just loved it. Will watch again for sure.
I can see why people are so upset about the message given in this lakorn. My first ever comment on MDL and I just have to say it. I read the comments before deciding to take a peek at this drama, so (as I sometimes do) I started with the last two episodes to see how it turned out before watching others. I'm currently watching ep 10 and I have NEVER been so furious in my life over a fictional story. I just want to punch the screen in! This mongrel is basically blaming this girl for(as he thinks) being raped and becoming pregnant! He's a real piece of work and truly did not deserve to be with her in the end. I've watched plenty of these and no matter how bad or stupid the ML is, I always want them to be together. But not this time! I think I'm going to have to drop the rest. Just can't stand the hypocrisy of the storyline. What a jerk.
