I'm wondering whether there might be a connection between their mums? One was an employee at the hotel, the other one took her daughter there when she was little...
Not gonna lie, romcom is not my preferred genre and I'm mainly watching this to fulfil my Hottest duties. Even so, I found this very watchable if not groundbreaking. My attention was held throughout despite the direction being a little repetitive in places. And it was cool to see glimpses of my hometown in a k-drama lol. I also like that Sarang and her friends are kinda wild. They remind me of the girls in Work Later, Drink Now.
I'm tickled by the fact that the fancy English house shown in the latest teaser is 15 minutes from where I live. If I'd known I could've tried to do some snooping!
I don't understand the obsession with real-time ratings, especially in this era of OTT and on-demand. Anyway, since King the Land doesn't seem to have the makjang elements that Korean TV viewers love, it's probably not going to hit those heights. High single figures to around 10% on par with other cable romcoms with a younger target audience (HomCha, Twenty Five Twenty One etc) would be a good result. No need to pile on the pressure just because of the leads' previous works.
Where was the meeting between Minha and Seokhyungās mum? That wouldāve been highly entertaining. Also disappointed there was no payoff for my Chairman x Rosa ship :(
Otherwise, this was a continuation of the first season, albeit perhaps a bit slower. Despite the super long episodes, it still felt like things were left dangling. I guess thatās just the result of having so many characters and patient storylines. I have to admit, the medical cases did start to blend together for me. Overall, a heartwarming show recommended for anyone into slice-of-life dramas.
Congratulations to the family!
