From what I understand (and someone can correct me if I’m wrong), an old colleague from the show Graduation—who…
It's so embarrassing for you to go around spreading melons you can not reasonably confirm. If you don't like her, you don't have to be here. No one is forcing you to go on a literal page about Esther. Such a waste of your lifespan to cater to something you clearly dislike.
I feel like a lot of people don't like Consort Xian, but I like her. I can tell at the beginning, the show tried to show her as rough and rude/doesn't care about Yu Jin, but when you keep watching, you can kind of tell it looks like she never wanted to give up Yu Jin in the first place. I also remember a scene where she was sobbing over Yu Jin being taken away from her and had to reluctantly accept it, after all, what can she do if the emperor said he needed to go? His degree/order > her feelings.
I don't think that she's evil - as far as I know, she didn't exactly do anything horrible. I find her way more likable than the consorts and noble women who say things to sugarcoat and sound nice but are completely scheming and gossiping horrible things behind your back. Again, it's true that she's hot-headed, can be very temperamental ,and rude, but her intentions were never malicious. I think if I were to describe her in a word, she's kind of like a "tsundere," so it is hard for her to be as openly kind like the empress. She might not sound very nice but I believe she still has good intentions toward her son - I just think that perhaps someone should push her a little bit/give her advice, like Jiang Si, and let her know that she has to convey her feelings to Yu Jin and tell him exactly what happened in the past, otherwise, he will never know properly and continue to feel bitter about it. So it's more like a communication problem than anything. I really hope that Jiang Si would realize this sooner and help her husband and his mother patch up. In fact, I think in the scene where she basically throws a fit about her son getting taken away is proof she cares about her son, she just doesn't know how to convey it properly - I was surprised that Jiang Si didn't notice this actually and encouraged him to stay away from her 💀
It's a bummer that Cdramas are getting on the multiple seasons bandwagon. I guess part of the problem is webtoons…
I think it's also mainly because of the 40 episode cap. C-dramas used to be more than an hour long with around 60-70 episodes but a few years ago they limited episodes to 40 episodes with a limit of 45 minutes per episode. Since then, I've seen C-dramas do multiple seasons because of theses limitations in order to preserve the story and not cut out too much, especially if the novel is long.
I don't see Zhao LuSi. Anyways she is a phenomenal actress but only had 1 drama in 2024. I wish her speedy recovery.
because she's currently still under medical treatment from some serious health problems after being overworked so she hasn't attended any of the award nights recently 😔
After the boat competition, I really started to dislike Yun Sung Bin and his team's bragging of how they are so strong just to use no brains and pure brawns, just for them to be only a mere 2 minutes ahead of the team they were dunking on, embarrassing :\ Everyone interesting has been eliminated after episode 8, but I hope the mountain climber guy wins in the end.
Honestly, I like mafia man the most and Ae Jung's interactions with him are the funniest; however, I think that it is highly unlikely that Ae Jung will end up with him, especially since this drama seems very focused on both Yeon Woo and Oh Dae Oh.
i love these kind of dramas tbh. theres also so many isekai novels/manhuas/mangas waiting to be adapted. it just…
Korea tends to produce the better isekai stories (manhwas) but in terms of producing isekais in real life, China experiments more with it. The only isekai kdrama I could think of at the top of my head other than Scarlet Heart is W and that drama was a mess after like episode 5. Maybe you could include My Love From Another Star, but in my opinion it was highly overrated.
Personally, as someone who is an avid reader of this genre, rather than it being made into a drama, I would much rather prefer to see them as animes, but it's not exactly terrible when they make it into a drama. **Notable GOOD isekai manhwas: Survive As The Hero's Wife, Miss Not-So Sidekick, The Evil Sorceress Plans To Survive, Beware of the Villainess!, Seduce the Villain’s Father, Death Is The Only Ending For The Villainess, La Dolce Vita di Adelaide, Ellin's Solhwa, Who Made Me A Princess, etc. **Notable GOOD Chinese manhuas are less common: Shen Yi Di Nu, Cheating Men Must Die
Hence, I think that the plots and story for dramas may be even better than manhuas. For example, The Romance of Tiger and Rose.
I read the summary and immediately thought of Zheng Fanxing. He's the most beautiful boy and he could definitely pull off as a sickly and frail "playboy" (maybe not so much playboy but still) because he just looks that innocent; however, even if he is not the main lead, I'll still watch this for him.
This drama is still airing. No one knows the ending yet.
The drama won't necessarily follow the book but since there is not "tragedy" tag, I'm assuming there will be some sort of "happy" ending and Qin Chuan will end up with Fu Jiu Yuan since they are the female and male leads. Zichen apparently seems like he will end up turning evil so it's unlikely that Qin Chuan will ever be together with him.
It's not bad and I like the FL's expressions but I probably would have liked it more if it wasn't a "change my face into my maid" type thing. I would have preferred it to just be her even though I get why her face changed.
The set up is different this season and this year's pick of trainees are fairly talented. I was thinking that they were nicer this year and contemplating whether or not the trainees are just better this season or they were just being nice? Overall though, I enjoyed the episodes, as of far but I think that the way they decided to immediately go into group stage battles instead of the theme song is a little off-putting and a little messy. A great way to introduce the trainees other than the initial evaluation on screen is the theme song, where a center is picked and establishes more of an introduction. The theme song portion also gives the show a go-to song, which they have mostly used from Idol Producer. Youth With You was very underwhelming, I can't even remember the theme song anymore and on the upside, this season's trainees seem to have more personality and it's more entertaining to watch. Idol Producer, however, still sets a high standard as to what it should be like so I'm hoping this show won't go downhill.
I thought I was the only one who did not like the FL in Black and found her character annoying lol. I don't think Go Ara's acting is super bad, in fact, I think she's fine compared to other actresses but her choice in what characters or what dramas she wants to star in is frustrating because her characters often times come off as quite annoying and hard to watch.
I recommend not going into this with high expectations. Based on the first episode, it seems like a typical Japanese drama and not too serious. If you're looking for a cute female lead and stubborn male lead, this is the one!
The doctor said about using steroids for the treatment. And apparently, Because of his CIPA, steroids is a no…
Especially since he's a doctor and he's always around sick people so it's much easier for him to get sick from contagious diseases because of his compromised immune system due to the steroids used to treat his illness.
