I saw it as them making Sang Hwan "redeem" his part actions and be the savior. I had a few problems with…
I agree! Writer-nim seemed to change the course of the drama in the last ep, and I didn't like that... I was okay with SH, but I was hoping for more DC :P
Sang Hwan and Dong Cheol's actions should've been reversed in the last episode. It would have made it so much more meaningful (e.g. SH helping Sang Mi's mom mirrors him helping his own mom; DC stopping Sang Mi from becoming a murderer because he was in prison before and understood how she felt; DC risking his life throughout the entire drama to save her, so he should be the one to save her in the end). Don't get me wrong; I LOVE this drama, but I was expecting something... different from the last ep.
Is this worth watching? I've been putting it off so I can binge watch it haha
definitely one of the best kdramas of the year! IMO most of the kdramas this year are mediocre, but this one is awesome so far. For me, I was hooked right from the start, but it didn't warm up until the ninth episode, which was fine for me, since the first 8 eps were exciting. I watched all 14 episodes in less than two days, and I can't wait for the finale tomorrow. hope this helps :-)
with the finale coming up in less than two days, I'm so nervous for all the good characters. Sang Mi needs to get out of there with her mom asap, and I really hope writer-nim gives Dong Cheol a happy ending. He's been through so much and he deserves happiness. I know this drama isn't about romance, but could we just have them (you know who) end up together? I'm super pumped for the last two episodes and can't wait to see how things turn out.
It's almost impossible for me to rate this drama, so I'll just leave a comment here. DOTS was really enjoyable for me, but like many have said, it's pretty cheesy and predictable. Having said that, if you overlook its weaknesses, you can enjoy this drama. Watch it for the acting and the chemistry because the plot is weak. Enjoyment: 10/10, Acting: 9/10, Plot: 6-7/10, Overall: N/A
Throughout my short drama watching career, I have only watched kdramas, but unfortunately, I'm currently in a kdrama slump (for about a month now). All the kdramas I'm watching seem boring... I picked up this drama yesterday and have already finished ep 4. So far, I'm liking the chemistry between the leads. The storyline is cute, but I hope it picks up (the first four eps are a bit slow). definitely will continue it!
I couldn't finish The Bride of Habaek. I love NJH, but the plot and acting didn't do it for me. I think the 'god' role should've been given to someone older in order to portray that 'god' vibe (like Gong Yoo in Goblin). Goblin is definitely better IMO in terms of plot, acting, and cinematography. I gave TBoH a 6.0 and Goblin a 9.0. I guess it depends on what kind of melodrama you enjoy, fluffy or serious.
btw Woo Do Hwan and Jo Jae Yun in a drama together again? yes please! ;-)
Btw, congrats to SongSong couple! :-)
