I agree with Jeana's comment below that people shouldnt hate on you just because you are expressing your opinion…
thanks for reading! I personally think I gave the dramas I dropped a lot of leeway. of all the dramas I listed in this article, I only dropped two of them (Mad Dog and WYWS) and I watched at least half of both of them. for Mad Dog, I watched 8/16 episodes, which I think is enough for me to decide whether to drop it or not. I also paid attention to the reviews after its completion and decided then that it wasn't worth finishing. I watched 16/32 episodes of WYWS and also browsed the finale. even then, I thought it was boring. again, these are all my opinions, which is why I wrote this article ;-)
"No offense to any fans, but all the positive reviews and comments about WYWS make me laugh out loud. " Why would…
I'm amused because many fans praised the things that I personally felt the drama lacked. I'm wondering if the problem is me or the drama xD
I agree that the 'dreaming' element may be somewhat new, but having supernatural abilities is nothing new in drama world. I found WYWS very similar to I Hear Your Voice, but with a weaker plot and less character development...
I agree that everyone has his or her own opinions, which is why I wrote this article in the first place--to explain why I gave low ratings to popular dramas. ;-)
Agree with WYWS completely. That drama was a mess, for me, from the start. LOL (with Bride... those two are on…
hehe thanks for your forgiveness, chingu ;-)) I also loved the team chemistry, but I wanted to see more plot development. Kim Min Joon was an excellent character.
I like the gangster style in Save Me the most, but that might be because I'm biased towards Woo Do Hwan xDDD I also thought the gangster style in Cruel City was pretty realistic.
I absolutely adore Woo Do Hwan (he's been mine ever since Save Me... sorry Jeana xD), but unfortunately this drama didn't cut it for me. I slugged through 8 episodes before deciding to drop it. I dropped it for the same reasons I dropped WYWS. the plot is unbearably boring and repetitive; each episode is hella slow and nothing exciting happens until the last few minutes of the ep. we have a star-studded cast, but if you know me, I don't watch dramas just for the cast. there's gotta be some substance to the plot and great character development, but Mad Dog didn't excel in either of those aspects. I really wanted to love this drama (anticipated Mad Dog the most out of all the new october dramas), but it was just too bland.
8.0 at most??? Gurl, you are way too generous. If I find a show shitty and can barely continue it, I would rather…
I agree that an 8.0 is very generous. I meant if all the user ratings were combined, they shouldn't surpass an 8.0 on mdl. I actually dropped this drama and gave it a 5.0 xD
after The Bride of Habaek (how the heck does that drama still have a 7.2 on mdl??), WYWS is the biggest letdown of 2017 for me. I gave it a fair chance (watched half and browsed the finale), but had to drop it. not only is the plot super boring and repetitive, we get almost no character development at all. not to mention that LJS and Suzy have the chemistry of a rock. *sigh* I was tempted to stay for Woo Tak, but even he couldn't save the show. the fact that this drama still has an 8.9 on mdl is way beyond me. it deserves an 8.0 at most...
when I first started watching dramas, I treated every single drama like holy grail and wouldn't drop them no matter what. now I drop whenever I lose interest in a drama xD the more you watch, the higher the standards
I did enjoy this drama at first. LJS? A cameo by Kim So Hyun? Sign me up! However, I soon realized that the plot just kept repeating itself, like switching the numbers in a math equation. I gave WYWS a lot of leeway (watched 16 episodes) before deciding to drop it. I agree that the cinematography is beautiful, but there is no plot and LJS and Suzy have no chemistry at all (shipped her with Woo Tak). I don't hate this drama, but I think I stacked up my expectations too high, so that might have caused me to drop WYWS...

in all honesty, most of the other kdramas this year are hella boring and generic...
awaiting Woo Do Hwan's next project ;-)
