I have this great habit of binging an ongoing drama like 2 weeks before final exams (spring quarter it was Hospital Playlist). caught up to ep 11 and I can't wait for the rest. plot reminds me of SKY Castle, but the dramatic execution gives me World of the Married vibes.
as I was watching this, I sometimes had to rewatch a few clips from Squad 38 as a reminder that the two characters are both played by Seo In Guk. seriously, they're like completely different people, and I can't believe they're played by the same person
such an underrated drama. I can't believe I put it on hold because it was "boring" three years ago, but I totally binged it a couple days ago. kept me guessing until the very end. stellar acting from the entire cast, esp Seo In Guk and Ma Dong Seok (now I remember why I'm such a big fan of the former). 9/10
also, this show gives me major Six of Crows vibes (one of my fav book series)
I'd rather watch a drama with crappy editing than one with beautiful cinematography but a boring-as-hell plot.
this drama is realistic with the perfect mix of friendship, family, and romance. ya'll sleeping on this drama need to try this asap. I swear it's better than most of the recent mainstream dramas...
plus it's only 8 1-hr episodes, so no room for dragging.
I love how Ae Sin compares herself to a flame instead of a flower. She is strong and burns brightly. She acknowledges that she is a woman whose flame will one day die out, but not without leaving a lasting impact on her nation.

it's scary how accurate a drama can be... goes to show how these things can happen in real life
their chemistry be sizzlin xDD
