Lu wuyi is not a simple character. Her character revolve around jiling and wu wangyan so it can be seen that she has no real purpose or character.
But we have talk about jiuying greatest weakness. LOVE. Lu wuyi is the character that jiling and wu wangyan love the most so she is jiuying greatest weapon against them. She is the character who binds people so I think that's a very big part. She is the character who loves. She don't have real personal goal simply because she just want to be seen. She is a hui (moon that is hidden) so she always yearn for people's love. And that turns out to be the greatest weapon. Maybe in future ep we will see what she become.

-Jiling is a red fox. -Yuan wu huo (yan an) and yuan xizai (tian jiarui) are brothers -In an explosion that happened in the illusion, yuan xizai probably almost died and jiling the fox take the face of yuan xizai and merge with him. This is just theory it haven't show yet. Maybe in next eps. -yuan wuhuo and jiling both in shilin sect probably something to do with chiwen. -jiling became fake chiwen and YWH became shilin sect commander -since jiling ate the dragon scales he is immortal while yuan wuhuo is human so he grows old. -YWH is old and went to a cave to die there but the six eyes demon twins devours him. They spend decades devouring his memories in the cocoon. -after finished, one of the six eye demon twin lost his memories while another twin still has memories as six eyes demon.

Watching this drama from ep 1 is like watching something blurry and gradually become clear.
Also I love LOVE that eventhough the arc in illusion is only for few eps they manage to make us feel that the wuwu couple is there for 50 years. I was afraid after they come out of illusion they will become stranger but of course living together for 50 years with the only one who feels real will be hard to forget. After wuwu couple come out of illusion somehow their mannerism is like couple who has live together for 50 years so kudos to the actors and the directing power.
When he use baizhe power in earlier ep he got that white line on his forehead. Then when he use xiaowei power he got fox ears and the eyes marks. In new ep he got wu zhiqi's power so wu zhiqi green tattoo appeared.
I wish someone can make edit on how longshen appearance change accroding to his borrowed powers because it's cool. On ep 15 it took me awhile to realised while longshen has fox ears then I remembered he borrowed xiaowei power

Not sure which tribe but he has the power because longshen (the dragon deity) gave him his power in exchange of wu zhi qi's power. Longshen has been collecting powers from different sect/people and so far we already see he got it from xiaowei (moon sect) and wu zhiqi. There were other people too as seen in earlier eps and they probably will be introduce in next arc.

I'm just gonna lay out the timeline in the star stone. Before that there were 4 disasters predicted by nuwa goddest which are great fire, hurricane, meteor blast and great freeze. The great fire happened first when the stone first appear in aodeng tribe. Jiu Ying, who's only a snake in an egg cannot hatch so she's spreading venom across the aodeng land making people sick with plague. Then the stone with great fire smash into the land and snake jiuying hatched thus curing aodeng tribe because the land is not venomous anymore. Aodeng people thought the star stone is the one curing them so they workship it as magical thing.
In the Illusion 1. Man man and di zhu (aodeng tribe) -set 1000 years ago and 7 days before the hurricane disaster. - so LS and LWY trapped there for 7 days - Di zhu was set to marry and the star stone will be the dowry - wu zhiqi sent man man to aodeng tribe to steal the star stone as di zhu's groom. -the start stone is still in stone form. -after the hurricane disaster the star stone transform into tiandi and met wu zhiqi. They became friend and wu zhiqi lied to tiandi that he is a great weapon so tiandi trapped himself in the cave until he met YWH and his brother 850 years later.
2. Yuan wu hao and Yuan xizai (green ape tribe) -set 150 years ago and 24 hours before the meteor blast. - so LJ trapped there for 24 hours until the cave scene -LJ met YWH who looks like him but he is in Yuan Xizai POV so in reality they don't look alike because YXZ is someone else face. -YXZ was blind and weak so YWH force him to eat dragon scales which magically cure him. - whi zhiqi's brother who is a demon was beaten to death by human so wu zhiqi hold grudge with human. -wu zhiqi want to use tiandi to wipe out human to avenge his brother -it was later revealed that jiuying possesed the human to stir chaos between human and demon - YWH want to steal the stone to end the war between human and demon. -YWH and his brother are human that pretend to be in green ape demon tribe. - they both went to the cave and met tiandi there. - tiandi explode killing humans and green ape demon survive because of their power but they were deadly plague in the tribe. Wu zhiqi cannot see the suffering and decided to petrify his tribe into stone to end their misery. After that the six-eyes butterfly demon came and said that he only make his tribes suffers more because their soul in trapped in the stones. Wu zhiqi felt so regretful and trapped himself in the blackwater river for years until he met chiwen that said he can save his tribes because the star stone is still alive. So wu zhiqi came out from the river to find the stone in flood dragon village
3. Wu shi guang parents (flood dragon tribe) -set 100 years ago and 50 years before the 4th disaster, the great freeze - wuwu couple trapped there for 50 years which is why they get old -wu shi guang's father, cang hao found WSG in the river when he's a baby -cang hao and his wife, Qiling take care of WSG -WSG don't want to leave the illusion because he wants to know who wiped out his entire clan. - wi shiqi first appeared when WSG is a child to steal the star stone but they met WSG master. -WSG's master is the owner of the bracelet twelve thoughts -WSG master said that until wu shiqi can beat him he cannot take the star stone so for years wu zhiqi tried to beat the master until one day he asked the master to follow him to the cave -the master turned out to be the star stone. -wu zhiqi take child WSG as hostage and asked the master to undo the petrification of his people but the master said he can't. Wu zhiqi tried to kill child WSG but the master interupted and wu zhiqi managed to hurt him badly. - at the same time, the flood dragon village is attacked by shilin sect killing everyone -WSG finally can see what happened. Turned out the killer wear painted skins. They were not from shilin sect but it's actually Wu wangyan who was possesed by jiuying. -when WWY finally awake she's already at the flood dragon village and everyone already died. That's why she always feel guilty to WSG -child WSG woke up and see his master on the verge of death. The master gave the bracelet to WSG.
