I just watched ep 24 and I’m so sorry but I laughed so hard when he like screamed picking her up to carry her, it sounded like he’d put his back out or something. I’m also really disappointed in the accident scene because it looked so fake and really not that serious. If they didn’t want to show a lot of blood they could at least have made the impact a bit more realistic like it looked like it just clipped her hip!
I’m not usually a fan of Lusi, like the last drama of hers I watched I dropped because her character annoyed me but the comments and the synopsis made me give this a shot. I’m not gonna lie I wasn’t sure I was going to like this from the beginning of the first episode but something made me keep watching and now it’s definitely one of my favourites! I haven’t binge watched a drama like this in a long time!
It’s funny, a little bit silly sometimes but there’s so many cute scenes and I like that things aren’t dragged out for ages and this show never really dragged at all! Definitely worth a watch!
Finally finished this after having to take a break half way through...did anyone else get frustrated about the fact that most of the characters were super shitty? :’) not sure I’d rewatch this one tbh it was okay, it ended okay, I really liked KMK and Wal but I don’t think I can sit through this again :’)
judging the comments below, not sure if i should give this drama a chance...?some questions i would like to know…
Literally just finished it but I ended up taking a huge break halfway through.
1. I don’t think her acting was that bad to be honest.
2. The romance was quite sweet but I wouldn’t call it steamy, like I did ship them but it wasn’t super steamy or anything.
3. The side bitches got on my last nerve more than once , you’ve got side bitch Kim who becomes a consort and is a complete bitch the whole way through though mad respect for her being upfront about it. Then you’ve got side bitch Jo who ends up becoming queen and I genuinely loathed her because she was so fucking dumb. The king told her twice she’s not a woman to him and she still got pissy about it. He doesn’t bed either of them, but Jo got on my last nerve and I wanted to throttle her. King had zero interest in either of them.
4. So like, he finds her again after a year and I did roll my eyes at the having a baby thing, and at the end you kinda see them walking and talking about what to name him. No clue what happens after that like I assume they’re together but whether she becomes queen somehow or if she just ends up a consort or a secret I don’t know I was a little like that’s it? I’ve had to watch all the drama and separations and that’s what you give me?!
5. Like I said, at the end he has no queen and there’s talk of a new selection to find a wife for him so he can get an heir but then BOOM he finds her and she’s got a baby son now that’s obviously his. But again, no clue how they resolved that. I would assume he’s sorted it? But I don’t know.
Honestly I kind of have mixed feelings about this drama it was a lot more serious than I expected, I did like the selection and the girls we met and there’s plenty of drama and twists and political intrigue. I just got kind of frustrated I guess? Because most of the characters are so shitty and even then at the end I was like damn I was hoping you’d all lose your heads but here we are. Like after I watched episode 8 this kinda became a low priority and then I just binge watched the other half and I did enjoy it but I probably wouldn’t rewatch it!
Exactly! How they added the fog and created all the landscapes digitally is just mindblowing, I wish I could do it! I've watched a lot of historical C dramas but not many fantasy, The Legends was pretty good but not as good as this one! Also Cinderella Chef I enjoyed and the 2017 The Eternal Love! I think they're making live actions of the author's other books but I'm not sure if it'll be the same team as this one :( Honestly I'm in love with this drama, I wasn't expecting too much from it because I'd read the novel and figured they'd change a lot but it blew me away!
Honestly, I watched the video that was linked in one of the other comments and it's amazing how they did it and matched it to the anime quite a lot too. They're all so stunning
Does anyone happen to know any of the filming locations for this? I'm curious as to whether some of the buildings and such are real or built in a studio!
