I literally never said that sunbaenim was a substitute for oppa though, so I really don't think you're even reading what I'm saying, which is getting to be quite frustrating as I keep repeating myself over and over. I just used the word as an example to try and explain what I meant but clearly I should have kept my question to myself.

I never said it was calling anyone oppa. I said that in a different drama, specifically Scholar Who Walks the Night, the girl called her lover orabeoni which is one word for brother and after asking around, it became apparent that in that time period they used that instead of oppa which they use today because sometimes they call their boyfriends oppa if they're older than them.

I'm well aware what Sunbae and Sunbaenim mean, but they usually refer to a senior at school, or in that industry, so I was surprised and confused to hear her call the prince that, and I've not heard it be used that way in other historical dramas, but I'm aware that some words had a different meaning/useage in the past to what they do now so I assumed this was one of them

Nah, she keeps calling the Prince sunbaenim, which I know means senior etc so like did it just mean sir back then? Because she's not a writer so he wouldn't be her senior in that sense and you can't tell me they're going to try and say he's older than her. I'm on ep 9 now and I gotta say I'm officially invested now! I'm glad I didn't drop it and I'm looking forward to the relationship developing but wow were the first few eps a struggle! I'm also like...still missing something, I think? because I still don't know what the drama is with his old team :')

I'm on ep 6 now and I'm interested in the team, but so far she's kind of coming across a bit like a weird stalker, and the flashbacks to his past are so boring and don't really add anything because we still don't know what happened :/

Does this get better? Cause I'm on ep 3 and I haven't been grabbed yet :/
