These days production and marketing teams are just sipping expensive coffees in their ACed offices and just enjoy the show where artists and their fandoms do all the work on social media. Not sure why these people are even paid when an actor and some random people need to ensure the commercial success of a series (product).

GMM's CEO said it many times that these trends are important to brands, who measure how successful the artist are, but I agree with you, it's getting ridiculous. One of the latest Grab events demanded 1M posts on X just to release some stupid backstage video of the artist. They don't even realize what kind of work from the fandoms this is. Of course, eventually they were called out by the fans for being greedy bastards.
