First Kdrama, where the killer was predictable, turned out to be the one. Mostly, the obvious character is basically…
She brings it up when talking to the insurance fraud daughter from the beginning of the show. She used to draw and make wood sculptures a lot to help her forget about her pain.
btw... I just switched the subtitles from English CC to English (on Netflix), and it's clearer now I think. She…
Inspired choice! I have been watching in Korean with English subtitles but when I switched to English with subtitles, it was still confusing. But! I did just change it to just English, and it does indeed make more more sense/clear. I also watched it in the mandarin language and the nuance are definitely synonymous with the English (no cc). Dang, I guess I should only watch the English dub for the rest of the episodes...
I don’t know why, but I've watched this specific scene twice now, and still can't quite understand what happened. I'm referring to the angsty conversation on the street after she runs away from the bookstore. Can someone recap/breakdown whatever nuance I am somehow missing 😭
I get that he feels a little betrayed but MSN has been nothing but kind and cordial to him. I’m a little peeved…
I think it was more because she hid it and didn't take any of the opportunities where she could've come clean (the sponsored products, knowing things about him, asking about the hobbies, etc.). They had already started building trust and getting to know each other, so with all those instances she could've eased into letting him know she was a fan, instead of pretending to be completely oblivious about him and his existence prior taking on his case. With his traumatic past experiences of the lengths fans will go to get close to him, I'm sure the initial thoughts he can't get past is that she likely approached him via her lawyer status because she's his fan, and that everything she has done so far. Cordial or not, it makes every interaction seem not genuine. Of course, with more time to think, and hopefully him (probably, maybe) discovering/finding the mp3 player he gave her, he'll realize she is different. But the initial shock and accusation I think is not surprising.
These two episodes made my Christmas. But I noticed something. Lin Yu Sen's friends are supportive, loving, and…
Although he does like her, he has the stereotypical inferior complex where he doesn't think he has anything to offer her, and therefore won't offer himself to her until he makes something of himself.
Wait- I don’t understand why when Xiao Jue confronted He Yan about the Mingshui battle on the bridge, she lied…
Because although her brother was the one who caused her to be late, she is owning up to the fact that she was the one that physically showed up late that day and that wasn’t her brother physically there on the battlefield that battle. She is trying to find evidence of the conspiracy of why she (unknowingly) was late though.
I’m pretty convinced that Hosu knew it was Miji from the very beginning—ever since he asked, “You’re Miji,…
I’m trying to figure this out as well! There are moments where I do feel like he knows it’s Miji but then we have scenes like on the bus where he is wondering why “Miji” was acting so different. But yes, after speaking with his ex-coworker he went back to see if he still could feel his feelings with Miji. If he didn’t, then he would know he has developed new feelings for Mirae. If he felt something while visiting Miji then his new feelings for Mirae were probably because he still likes Miji and essentially projecting them onto the other twin because of their sudden proximity and spending more time together.
I’m curious exactly when he thought she was Miji. Like yes she confirmed when she was responding to her name while sleeping, but did he still think it was still Mirae when he closed his eyes downstairs? Was the exact moment when she was tryna confess and stoped herself?
bro the ending where they show hae seong as a homeroom teacher was so unnecessary and ridiculous 😭😭 like…
I think it was hinting that this was his next mission. Mainly bc you can see it is a different classroom/school than Byeongmun High School. In the end it did also say/show that he and Yu Jeong might be working for the same company, aka the NIS. Although not a clip of them working together, but still a nod towards that goal.
I totally get it. I do. But I do see her actions as loving him too much to want to burden him. She sees him as…
Definitely hurtful. But I tried to think of it from a personal perspective. I love my family and they are very supportive and loving. However, if I had some difficulties in my life and I didn’t believe they would be able to help me…or rather, knowing they’d be constantly worried for me trying to solve this unsolvable situation, I think I would rather just not let them know. Especially if historically I’ve always kept my personal problems to myself. Leaving without a word is dramatic, but it is effective in preventing him in getting involved. Since they live together, and with her sleepwalking, she wouldn’t be able to keep him out of her troubles unless she did run away. Again, I don’t necessarily agree with her actions, but I do understand them, and think they are consistent with her character. The hardest thing for a historically closed off person to do is be vulnerable.
I also don’t disagree that there definitely might be some noble idiocy and creating drama for the drama, and deviating from the novel, but I don’t think it is as super random and uncalled for as other forced separations in dramas.
So she left Sang Yan and make him stupid for not knowing a single thing happened rather than reporting his uncle…
I totally get it. I do. But I do see her actions as loving him too much to want to burden him. She sees him as someone who only deserves the best in life, and that doesn’t include him being sucked into her drama/trauma. Because 1. I think she knows he would be devastated that she wasn’t living this happy go life all this time, and 2. he would get too involved in her terrible family to help her and he shouldn’t have to do that (in her eyes), even though he would want to. As annoyed as I am by her running away again (and this deviation from the novel), I do ultimately see this as being pretty realistic. Yes it very much leans into creating more drama for drama, but at the end of the day she probably thinks this is protecting Sang Yan. Yes she should know by now that he never stopped loving her and her running away likely won’t stop his feelings this time around either, and yes, they will both be miserable apart, but her running away draws the uncle’s attention back to solely her vs targeting the person she cares about most (aka the bar situation).
Does it include the part where sang yan goes to find Jiaxu and finds out that he and sang zhi are dating? I so…
The novel does include the trip of when he visits Sang Zhi and discovers that she’s dating Duan Jia Xu, but not the actual moments of it. He essentially recaps what happens to Wen Yifan. But, you do get some of his perspective of the situation.
Exactly what happened in their childhood when sanha's sister died? And why his mother accused sanha for that?
From what I remember, the mother left the two children home alone to go play mahjong. The younger sister choked on a walnut but they were locked in the apt so the brother couldn’t get help in time.
Yeah, I’m ultimately unsatisfied. She didn’t work at all to get him back, he came back to her like a bumbling fool after everything she did to him. Just because she finally learned to accept living her life to the fullest, she still didn’t make any attempts of reconciliation with the ML. His mom passed and she wasn’t there to show any support or even acknowledgement of his potential pain. Sure she made it to Seoul but she didn’t seek him out. She even told the 2ML that she was working super hard to get back to him but she was just bettering her own life. I’m glad she learned to appreciate life but the love story part of this really turned out flat for me. Poor ML deserved to be written better.
(Un)popular opinion:I don’t want them back together. The guy she claims to love is heartbroken after finding…
I agree, I had the same initial reaction. The ML finds out her secret, he takes it the best that one could, like texting her in a caring way as she avoids him. Then when he shows that the secret isn’t something he’s angry about and was willing to work with her and talk about it, she refuses. At that point he is probs heartbroken but she clearly doesn’t value him as much as she says she does, bc clearly she’s just avoiding and running away from the problem. He’ll probably open his arms the second she runs to him but I really want her to work for it. Prove to him that she’s actually grown…
