Don't expect too much from female C-drama writers, bro. They often make the ML overly submissive in the name of equality. He has to explain why he even talked to another woman, while the FL can go on dates and get close to other guys without needing to explain herself. Even in this drama, like you mentioned, the ML will probably end up apologizing even though he didn’t do anything major, unlike the FL. The biggest plot twist would be if the FL saw the ML with someone else, got jealous, and actually tried to win him back.

I think this drama would have been better if it were more like Soundtrack #1, without major conflicts like the toxic mom or ex. The drama is too short to properly deal with those issues. If it had 16 episodes, they might have had time for that, but right now, the scenes with the mom and ex just seem unnecessary. They’re only there to create tension and make the leads come together in the last 5-10 minutes of the show.

Was I the only one who didn't like the SML or were there others who also didn't like him? He doesn't have any redeeming qualities at all. He judges people without verifying the truth and is always biased against those who have even a slight negative side.
