The initial episodes were really really good & the script writer and director became too indulgent on that. They made it too dreamy and everything was shown at that time even small plot points while for the later half, whole plots and character motivation/improvements were removed in such a way that it feels like that important plot points were not shown. I feel this is the fault with the script, CGI and fighting scenes because every other department really gave their best to the drama especially the cinematography and music.

This is one of the drama where the story and drama goes downhill as it progresses. I really liked everything at the start at least till ep-27 but after that characters don't make much sense and plots/scenes are so disjointed and incomplete that you are not able to understand the story at all. Overall not a good drama for me

Is it confirmed though? Then who is Chen Xian Qing to ML?

Chen Xian Qing is the son of ML and it does cause a love triangle situation between ML, his son and FL not sure how they are going to deal with the situation here.

Even Wen Yifan's mother got somewhat forgiven in the end so Huiju's father at least is a little better than him.

Maybe but I don't think they will let this ready made chance to create drama alone 😂 They will fully utilise this to create some nuisance in their relationship.

I don't think it's possible with how much asian dramas try to whitewash bad parents. Every bad parent in some way gets forgiven in the end by their children.

I feel he is too much of a doormat tbh. He is not behaving like a Grand Prince at all. He should be imposing in that role that no one can even raise their head before him. But he is getting slapped by everyone. Like he has dirt on Queen Mother than why is he not using that instead of letting her do whatever she wants? Otherwise will he only learn when something really serious and life threatening happens to Huiju?

Yep it was just a impulsive decision from to assert his domination over royals. And now I'm sure many people will say "Oh wow! Huiju's father really loves her but doesn't show it. He doesn't know how to." But if that's the case then what is the difference between him and ML's father from Fated Hearts. Is he also trying to make everyone insult and humiliate her just to train her to take over his company?

If my Father in Law had slapped me like Huiju's father did to Ian, I would have slapped him back. You don't get to slap me for something I didn't do when you didn't even care a little for your daughter and left her to fend of for herself since the childhood. He doesn't deserve to be called a father.

Anyone else didn't like how overconfident Xiaolan was about trusting Du Zhao Hui and doing business with him? She knows he is trying to pursue her and it might cause some problems between her relationship with Zhou Cheng but still doing the business with him. It's not like she didn't have any other options.
