grandpa is so self-absorved he deadass couldn't see how his hand was all over this tragedy until it was spelled word for word right in his face. he still owes pio an apology btw so he can't die before that!!

god... this episode was truly a visceral experience. the writing in this show is so masterful and poetic and heartfelt i'd actually be alright with a sad ending, as long as it's earned. sure, i would cry for days, but perhaps it's what makes the most sense narratively. pio and jeongyo are so deeply broken and ridden with guilt over each other, i honestly can't see how they could go back to the way they used to be...

so revenge aside, i honestly can't imagine just how maddening it must be for jeongyo to have this clear vision for his piece and be completely unable to execute it because he can’t play the piano anymore. i know i'd have gone ballistic in his place too

I started good bad mother today ...the plot is good but they are focusing on many unnecessary characters 🫩
i paused good bad mother for that same reason, the village people started to really annoy me halfway through

i'm not built for misunderstandings, it really makes me blood boil to see pio take the fall for his mom and jeongyo say such cruel and harsh words that i knowww he doesn't actually mean just to hurt pio. it's so frustratinggg

pio's mom is genuinely so exasperating i can't do this anymore!!! i hate it so much that she is just silently letting pio take the fall for her what a terrible fucking mother

honestly, don’t understand how anyone could be calling pio selfish. everything he’s ever done was to either earn his grandpa’s approval or make his mother happy. when he decided to do something for himself for once, to learn to find joy in music, he was punished for it instead. the only reason he challenged jeongyo for that competition was due to the insecurities and one-sided rivalry narrative his mother kept feeding him. growing up in a such a dysfunctional house where love was either deeply conditional or outright denied to him, it’s no surprise that he’s still not living for himself and is still trapped by his mother’s wishes and expectations and repeating those same self-destructive behaviours he was taught. on god, that boy has never known a minute of peace in his life and the only semblance of happiness he found (in jeongyo) was ripped away from his arms by his own mother and replaced with guilt. he is quite literally clinically depressed and people will still try to brush aside all the trauma he’s been subjected just to turn him into some self-centered mama’s boy. if you can’t handle nuanced characters, just stop watching complex stories.

i’m so scared of the theory of pio losing his ability to play piano… he would absolutely fall into an even deeper depression, music’s consumed his whole being for the entirety of his life, it’s the only thing he’s been praised and acknowledged for, it’s basically his entire identity, he doesn’t know who he is without it, he would be devastated… i’m so scareddddd but then again playing the piano is also the main source of all his problems so maybe he would have a chance to finally LIVE.

Title Four Hands, Two Sonatas Spoiler
Kang pio is somehow selfish,, no one can defend him..
pio didn’t tell jeongyo the truth because his mother threatened to harm herself if he did. he agreed to play jeongyo’s piece ONLY because jeongyo said he wouldn’t release the piece any other way and insisted repeatedly that it HAD to be him, and even then he said jeongyo should cut him off if he wasn’t doing a good job because he didn’t want to drag him down any more than he thinks he already did. pio is basically drowning in his own guilt and depression because he believes what happened to jeongyo is all his fault. if there’s something pio isn’t, is selfish

I thought it was weird when the aunt said “I’m only here because I enjoy making music with you”
yeah i did too, i can’t quite figure her out. i was hoping we would get some flashbacks of the grandpa and mom’s past because i have so many questions but we’re kinda running out of time

whyyy are they holding out on that montage of jeongyo’s suffering throughout the past 10 years? i KNOW they have it stored somewhere and i need to see him lose his fucking mind and cry his heart out…

anyone else going crazy over the parallel of the piece grandpa was conducting being a love letter just like jeongyo’s own piece was at first, before he got caught up in all that resentment and anger and it transformed into something sour and jagged. and the fact that jeongyo lashed out at pio during rehearseals because he was frustrated pio couldn’t understand what he was so desperately trying to convey. is this only insane to me?

honestly the grandpa was just getting on my last nerve with that talk of the tool art takes on the talented, “imagine what it does to the untalented” how come even after all these years he still can’t acknowledge pio’s talent and efforts!!! i need to see him be humiliated at least once before he dies, he CANNOT get away with tormenting and neglecting his grandson his whole life!!!!

it’s so fucking suspicious how pio’s mom keeps saying pio’s a gift sent to her from heaven i might be looking too much into it but what if he’s not her biological son

this episode was SOOOO good, my heart started racing so many times!! i’m losing my mind trying to figure out how this is going to end!! i need to scream in pio’s face that what happened to jeongyo isn’t his fault, the guilt he carries on his shoulders will genuinely crush him one day. and jeongyo, man, all this pent up resentment and anger are clearly starting to eat him alive, i don’t see how he will ever get past it. but if they don’t get their happy ending after all this bullshit, i’ll explode like i’ll gen dieeee
