really enjoyed ep 1. it's more of the lowkey and slow burn type, but it's pretty engaging so far. for a first episode, it did a pretty good job of establishing the characters and making me connect with them. i'm excited to see how things unfold!!

this finale kinda healed me but at the same i’m so sad they didn’t hug one last time!!! my heart still hurts so much for jeongyo and everything he was forced to give up, but i think his ending was as happy as it could’ve been given everything… still i will never heal in that regard 😭😭 my sweet jeongyo 💔💔💔

grandpa’s ending was fine but the writers went too easy on the mom like especially including that reconciliation scene with the teacher yuckkk

jeongyo and pio are up there as some of the most miserable characters in history along with jesus christ himself like they've had five seconds of happiness. combined. i feel physically sick thinking about them i'm not even joking

fr she's so self-centered!!! even with jeongyo, she never once saw him as a person. all she ever saw was a diamond in the rough, and all she cared about was the self-importance of being the one to polish him and raise him to success!!

i mean absolutely!! it's just so ridiculous to me that she's going all hysterical over this when she wouldn't blink an eye when grandpa was psychologically abusing her grandson all these YEARS

YES this is exactly why i also wanted more of jeongyo's POV to be shown!! we needed to see him grappling with his feelings more!! i feel like in episode 10, even if it's subtle, his inner conflict regarding pio's involvement is shown, if anything through junyoung's own microexpressions. yet he's so bent on blindly believing it's pio because he can't bear the consequences of that possibility, that he harbored all this hate and resentment towards pio for so long and even punished him for something that wasn't his fault. like you said, the small seeds are all there, but they could've been even more impactful had we just spent more time on unravelling everything, and that's why we needed more episodesssss!!

i don't have many complaints about the pacing, it was pretty well-handled overall. but i still think having two or more additional episodes wouldn't have hurt, and could have allowed the story and characters to be even more fleshed out and well-developed.

honestly grandpa's wife was cracking me up in some scenes, why was she shouting her own ears off when pio was taken by the police like maam must i remind you you never gave a fuck!??!!
