Read some comments below saying that they couldn't connect with this drama at a deep emotional level. I think one of the reasons could be that we already get so many spoilers thus lessening the impact. Like no one would have shed tears in today's episode thinking ty would die. Because we already saw him well and alive in the previews of the next episode.
Also the nine star spell didn't hit that big because we were spoiled abt it 10 episodes ago.
Plus the drama being light-hearted with a fast paced story doesn't let enough angst to build up.
And we know again from the mv of the ending song that there will be a happy ending so even if YH dies it wouldn't be that sorrowful as the shock factor will be missing.

However the author's can indeed pull off a dirty trick by killing BXS because this character was not present in the novel

Tbh BXS always knew that the hps will save her. It was just that yh wasn't willing to do anything with ty .
In the desert it was him who kind of hypnotised yh to take his hps while ty was sleeping. As soon as he used the dark aura they got sucked inside the compass.

This drama gave a backstory to all the villains. Glad they didn't make them as 2D cartoon like characters.
