Although the latest episode had lots of fluffy scenes,i can't help but have mixed feelings. Like i can't convince myself that she is sincerely in love with him. Css is a girl who doesn't wants to change for anyone, and even if she likes someone it doesn't means she has to mend her ways infront of him. Cause honestly it was him who chased after her and put her in that situation. Her current situation seems so suffocating having no choice but to love him with everyone from the king to his wives pressurising her because he is a great man. Atleast her parents risked their all to ensure that their daughter has her own freedom in choosing her groom .
Coming back to ep 38 ,I do understand ling buyi's position that her life is the most important thing and that she shouldn't take matters into her own hands when it comes to palace incidents. However i don't think that his reaction was limited to the palace matters only. He does have this domineering side , a dark character who says he won't control niaoniao and fell in love with her because the way she is but now when they are together,he actions doesn't shows that he is ready to fully accept her. She has trust issues because of the way she was brought up. U can't expect her to suddenly rely on u just because u are abt to get married and she has started to develop feelings for him. These things need time. And ling buyi seems to be in a rush. The one thing that makes him look different from yao is that the later may not have that many accomplishments but he always kept his words of letting nianao do what she wants and not forcing his way of loving on her.
I got a better analogy that describes how the writers came up with this show. It's almost like they watched money…

Maybe she was hurt at thyme at that time because thyme didn't believe her. So whatever he was doing, it wasn't her concern. But when she was trying to sleep in the night, it think it indeed bugged her . She was thinking abt him (and prob hana too)
Huh??? Why are you generalising that only South Asians visit this forum? The drama indeed is a trifecta of bad writing, bad directing and bad acting. I agree ageism against female actresses. But that's not the reason why the show got low ratings. Korea is in love with noona dongsaeng romance, but this drama flopped miserably and is the lowest rated drama of Shk's career. South Asians didn't contribute to its tv ratings.
