This!!. Ling buyi understands why css liked yao yet he can't put efforts into their relationship and only expects css to change her ways without doing any introspection of his own conducts. He says " you are afraid of me" but then adds "why don't u trust me". Like shouldn't it be obvious?And i really like it how css isn't afraid to put forth her pov during a quarrel. Honestly if we talk from a real life perspective,these two are very incompatible. Just to add on. The best part of the last episode being (yes i was annoyed with the whole beating up zisheng to make her realise her love for him drama) , her mom feeling jealous of the empress. Like how do u expect niaoniao to give u the same affection as she does with the empress when u never gave any love to her. Nianiao is a girl who gives as much as she takes. The empress is the mother figure that niaoniao needed all her life. But instead she got a military commander for her mother. In that case, her mother should only expect loyalty and obedience from niaoniao like her soldiers. Why does she care whether niaoniao misses her or not 😒.
