I'll be honest, this story made for a better anime. FL's looks don't fit the period drama makeup they use to emphasize…
I take note of everything you said and as I said "different strokes for different folks". I guess it could be a cultural thing for me personally. In Americal we do take teeth seriously from a young age. Really rich people do have veneers and such but most of us are brought up that teeth should be straight. We usually see a dentist around age 2. I will reflect on everything you said because I do love all types of dramas and I try to be objective about them.
I was bamboozled, hoodwinked, and led astray when I was adamantly told that this would be a good drama to watch…
All of his other wives entered the household with anterior motives. This one of the main reasons he rejected them, he really did care for his first wife.
After watching Story of Minglan The Sword and Brocade will really leave you dissatisfied... Watched this while…
I just watched both again for the second time. I agree the quality is a little lacking, but I love Wallace Chung. Both dramas have their pro's and con's.

Thanks, were their any kissing scenes in the novel?
If you like fantasy than it is a must watch. I read some reviews and comments and almost did not watch this drama. Being the drama fan that I am I took a chance and so should you.
I liked it a lot in spite of its many, many, many flaws. It was some great weaponry fight scenes and YK's use of the spear is outstanding. It is a fantasy drama so the CGI may not be that great even some of the better dramas fall short on this. So, I was okay with the CGI its like a grain of salt.
I fell in love with the ML and FL including some of the large cast of characters. Yu Kai got better looking every episode, wow. I like the animated flashes of power moves. When one of the reviews said " some scenes looked like the mighty morphin power rangers and mortal Kombat" I laughed because it does give that type of vibe. I liked those shows too. Yu Kai and Gülnezer Bextiya looked great together. There are some plot holes and some bad editing along with some bad directing, which there is a lot of these days trying to quickly produce dramas. The costume changes might throw you off a bit. it's just weird timing.

I have finished and have mixed feelings it is not the best by far that I have seen it is actually disappointing. This drama was all over the place with plot holes poor special effects and awful directing. Some of the wire scenes are just painful to watch. I started watching because the synopsis intrigued me. There were so many unnecessary episodes I started skipping ahead in episode one which is clearly not a good sign. I did not find any chemistry between the ML or FL. XZ has a certain charismatic look about him and you have to find a FL that does not get left behind by his charm. Ren Min although cute does no match him at all.
This is a dram with a familiar story line that has been redone hundreds of times in all drama tropes but there is a rule if you are going to re-do a story line. "You have to do it better than the last one" . This was not better. I do not like dramas that I have to fact check. For example, they say one thing in episode one and do another in episode 36. There was also a lot of star gazing during the drama. (actors camera holds on the actors gaze too long). The FL has a lot of dialog (too much) for the story. Though I did like her voice not sure if was dubbed.
They realise their feelings starting with ep 35. Officially engagement in ep 39. As is Xanxia primary focus is…
Not true! Why else would they die three times for each other. Xianxia (仙侠 xiānxiá) – literally means “Immortal Heroes”. Fictional stories featuring magic, demons, ghosts, immortals, and a great deal of Chinese folklore/mythology. To sell most dramas there is going to be an element of romance. Don't want to start a argument just my take on it.
It is actually good but slow in the beginning get past the first three episodes. I did fast forward a bit. It is complex and thought provoking. Give a chance.
I thought the same at first because the first three episodes could have been dropped. I thought his best friend was in too many scenes and had too much dialog so I was fast forwarding a lot. Once past those three I started to appreciate the humor and plot. In the end i liked it although it was a complex story.
