Wait they were so conservative when they started the drama; unmarried women could not be seen in public now they are traveling openly doing business, walking, and traveling with men. Please someone explain did I miss something?

I am early in the drama but the Emperor is selfish, egotistical, and a Narcissist with a dash of crazy. I am not feeling the FL just yet no matter what happens her facial expressions never change. For such a saga it is disappointing. Love the ML and his fist of furry.

Yan Zi Xian is truly handsome. He is eye candy for days and his kissing scenes melt my heart. This is not to take anything away from the FL she is beautiful and played her part well. I thought they had great chemistry. Whether it is a drama trope, predictable or not I was impressed by this mini drama. It had all the required elements and kept me entertained.

Full disclosure: I have not watched Season 2 yet but why is there a Season 3? I mean it took so long for season 2 and I am a little annoyed.

I have re-watched this drama many times as it is one of my all-time favorites. The quality of K and C dramas have been lacking of late so I have to go back and look at some quality to rejuvenate. Directors and writers are going for shock value at the end instead of a good happy ending, and it has been proven that 9/10 times some of the most successful dramas have happy endings. If it isn't broke don't fix it!!! On another weird note, I usually watch this on "Viki" and I noticed that each time the subtitles change and not for the better. It throws me off a little.
