Yes it does have that mini drama vibe which i wasn’t expecting tbh
Yes i like the darker political plot. Lets hope it doesnt lose its way. I also dislike the beaded curtain shots, they are so frequent and very distracting. The music is also randomly loud. A dream within a dream comes out tomorrow so its possibly i might swap over to that drama since i can only watch 1. If all else fails i'll watch joy of life s2 😂
Unfortunately I have exams so I can only pick one of the currently airing dramas to watch... I'm going to pick princess gambit since I've been waiting ages for it but I will come back to a dream within a dream very soon!
I want to ask a question everyone. How do you manage watching dramas with studies? Its like I either binge watch…
I wrote an article on reddit about how I balance Cdramas with studies, so I reccomend reading that because I detail my method in full : https://www.reddit.com/r/CDrama/comments/1jib7nt/how_watching_cdramas_made_me_a_better_student/. But yeah I'm a full time law postgrad student that has never ending exams basically every month. I know some people finish 40 ep dramas in like 2 days, but it usually takes me about 17-18 days to finish a 40 episode drama. At the beginning of the day I write a to do list of all my tasks. Everytime I complete 2-3 tasks I'll reward myself with 23 minutes of an ep from a drama and rinse repeat. It does take some self control/self discipline, but I rarely binge watch dramas anyway (bc bingewatching makes me tired and loopy lol). It's also fulfilling knowing I've completed my tasks for the day and then I can relax with an ep before bed. Also watching currently airing dramas is a good idea because it stops bingewatching as they will only release 2 eps a day, so I will save those 2 episodes and watch it at the end of the day once I've finished my work. I also will listen to cdrama osts while studying; on my reddit article I list some of my favourite osts!
Just watched the 1st episode. LOVE IT. The soundtrack is sooooo good, I love the opening and ending song and all of the BGM pieces. A sign of a good show is its soundtrack because I'll definitely be adding the songs to my playlist. Next we have gorgeous cinematography, gorgeous costumes and a very political plot being set up - my absolute fave.
