I really have a problem with people insulting the female lead’s character. One, it’s just a drama. Secondly,…
100% agree with this. Drama viewers are primarily women so everyone is always more harsh towards the FL than anyone else. It's not a perfect drama and none of the characters are perfect either, I don't think the FL deserves the degree of hatred people have for her.

My friend talked so highly about this drama so I decided to give it a try, overall I just completely regret watching…
Saying you find them ugly is one thing, but to be straight up racist and mention their eyelids is so incredibly disgusting. I can't believe there are people who actually say such things.

Based on the trailer, the incredible leads, and my love for xianxia, I have very high hopes for this drama. Ahhhhh I can't wait for this to air

She's rumored to star in a new drama with Luo Yunxi and omg I really hope it's true. They were the best part of My Sunshine, I want to see them together again!

What is the ending ❓
Semi-open. They meet again after a long separation but it's not super conclusive. The 2019 version's ending is much better, although it was rushed as well imo.

I'll definitely try it. Realistic, well-done slice of life dramas are hard to come by so I really want to like it. Thank you for all of the info :)

Romance is the first tag there so when you see that and then you see the age gap it's extremely off-putting. Like, I do not care about age gaps within the realms of the drama's story and the character's ages at all. That kind of stuff does not bother me when the real life actors are all consenting adults. It just was worrisome seeing that the lead is 17 years old and it looked like romance would be a major focus. It really weirded me out. But if it is as minimal as folks are saying and there isn't any skinship, I'll give it a shot.

I did enjoy this but the 2019 version was so much better. If you're trying to decide on which one to watch, choose the other one.

I’ve watched through ep. 34 and only saw two very awkward hugs, one compassionate (much needed) hug while she…
I mean, she may be great at acting and her character may be very mature but I will still know that the actress is a child and is playing a romance with a middle aged man. IU was a woman in her mid twenties playing a 21 year old, it's quite different. From all of these comments it seems like I would usually love this type of drama, but I won't be able to look past that fact.

There's a romance tag, please tell me it's not between the minor and the middle aged man? I don't mind age gaps, and I know her character is supposed to be an adult, but the actress is still a kid. That would be disturbing to watch.

The Korean Drama "I Have A Lover" has one of the most infuriating mistresses I've ever seen. It's a makjang and will definitely get your blood boiling lmao.
