I’ve actually seen My Sunshine and Sunshine of my Life before but I am trying to remember why I didn’t include…
My thoughts on both exactly lmao. They were very cute in My Sunshine after they got together though, the leads had great chemistry (actually just finished watching it haha)
Go into your heart A very easy, fluffy, low-angst watch. Beautiful relationship with supportive friends/family, and the couple is together for a LONG number of episodes. There was a big revelation/fight in the later episodes and the FL was very angry with the ML (don't remember if she actually used 'let's break up' words, she may have), but they reconciled pretty quick and remained together for the remainder of the drama. Def think it should be on this list (maybe mention the fight in a note or something?)
Sunshine of my life Actually surprised no one mentioned this before, they are like the epitome of communication in cdrama. Together for a long time, and, while they have their fights, they actually talk it out. Chemistry between the leads is a bit lacking though, imo.
My sunshine (yes it's a different drama haha) I'm like 90% there was no break up here once they fully got together, but the episodes before that are... rough to watch.
Twilight, I guess. It's a very, very heavy watch full of mental struggle and even physical abuse. They get officially together somewhere around ep28-30 (I think) out of 40. There's a 'breakup' at the end, which lasts for the entirety of the final and resolved in the last ~5 minutes, so I'm not sure if its suitable for this list. During the entire episode, however, the ML doesn't give up on the FL (who breaks up due to her mental problems) and chases after her.
The chemistry between the leads is absolute fire though.
How's the drama itself? I've lots of negative posts about it on reddit lately haha. Also, if you remember, when…
Well, I'd give it a watch since I have nothing else to see anyway haha. Is it any good after they are back together? The thing that attracts me the most in dramas is the chemistry between the leads, and I heard its very meh in this one?
Hello Debate Opponent Season 2 (independent of the first one, haven't watched it myself). Honestly didn't expect…
Since the drama follows college years, the relationship between ML/FL can be a bit childish (nonetheless extremely cute) at times. There was one episode where FL was constantly joking about breaking up (didn't pick up my phone - let's break up) and ML got annoyed, didn't refute her and they silently walked away. But it's clear that it's not a breakup, just a stupid fight (both of them say so 10 seconds after), and they literally reconcile 5 minutes later lmao, so I wouldn't consider this a breakup.
Apart from that, no love triangles/angst. Get together in ep15/30.
Hello Debate Opponent Season 2 (independent of the first one, haven't watched it myself).
Honestly didn't expect to find something as good as this, considering my exhausted supply of no-breakup dramas. While romance isn't the priority in this drama, there's a LOT of cute moments/interactions between the couples, and I especially love the dynamic between ML/FL (I'm just a sucker for the 'banter'-type interactions and feel like this drama has one of the best ones). Besides the romance, the drama itself is quite funny, cast is absolutely amazing and subs are good. Definitely worth a watch.
Healing Food, Healing Love - no breakups, major misunderstandings (some small fights that are resolved during the ep, nothing angsty), minor love triangle at the end with the ML's ex (also nothing too dramatic) Get officially together in the beginning of ep13/23
This actually could've been one of my favorite cdramas (and I watched a lot), were it not for the terrible subs.
The story, while nothing too ground-breaking, is solid and and enjoyable, without anything too tragic. The cast/chemistry between the couples is simply amazing. I rarely enjoy all pairings in dramas, but here I liked all 3 - though the leads take the cake without any doubt. Both ML/FL are highly competitive, 'never lose' types of people and have that cute banter between them that makes their interactions extremely fun to watch once they get together.
But the subs are really bad. You can understand what's going on roughly, but you'll have to self-interpret much of the show.
Are they only officially together for 1 episode? Since it's a 16-episode drama
I agree, watching the couple develop/grow/have their fluffy moments (it just feels different when they are not together yet, I hate the whole 'will they/won't they' thing) is the main reason why I watch asian dramas haha. And when they get together in the last episode, you don't really get to see that. Which is why Forever and Ever is one of my favorites, they literally get engaged in like first three episodes lol
What can you tell us about "Something About 1 Percent"?
Believe it or not, it was actually my first asian drama! I liked it a lot, I'm fairly certain there's no breakups/misunderstandings after they officially get together - at least nothing serious enough for me to drop it (and I drop dramas very easily). Can't tell you the exact episode when they become a couple though, it's been quite some time since I've watched it
If I'm not mistaken, Viva Femina has a breakup. I think it lasts for a few episodes as well (though I'm not sure whether it was an official breakup or just a 'break'), and when they resume their relationship, the FL decides to 'tone it down' quite a lot (from seriously dating to 'just seeing each other'). I may be spreading misinformation about the details, but I clearly remember dropping it because of this haha (which is a shame, I really liked the dynamic between FL/ML).
