The second male lead gets too much of the spotlight on this one for my opinion... What could have been the female…
If you haven't watched it yet, you definitely should give Ase to Sekken a try. It has a very, very weird premise (just read the synopsis...) but if you can get past it, you'll enjoy one of the sweetest, fluffiest jdramas where the couple gets together almost immediately and there aren't any serious love rivals/misunderstandings (well, there is kind of a SFL, but she backs off immediately when she realizes ML got a girlfriend). Though I can't be really objective of this drama, since I have the biggest crush on the FL lolol
Aplha ML, Vampire ML; innocent FL; Romance Anime; school setting; it’s like Boys Over Flowers. There’s no…
Ohhh, I recently discovered the world of manhwa/manhua/manga as well! Dropped out of reality for a good while 😅
If you like slice of life, you can give My Wife Is From a Thousand Years ago a try. It's about a girl from ancient times arriving in modern world and adjusting to the new life while living with the ML.
Great art, very good translation (a rarity amongst chinese stuff) and an extremely cute couple. Don't know why it's relatively unknown, I found it by accident and now its easily amongst my favorites haha
Thanks for the suggestion, this was such a refreshing show. I'm really a sucker for the more down-to-earth, 'mature' romances where the leads have a more... natural, I guess, relationship? The ML was especially a breath of fresh air, I don't think I've ever watched a drama with an actual playboy as the lead before (there are lot with fake ones, but here the guy is a real 'pond owner' lmao).
I think you can add smile, youmini unserious separation but no official breakup just waiting for mother’s approval
Oh, I remember this one. Super good chemistry between the leads, but ML's family (that mother made me want to punch the screen no joke) and FL's EX were extremely annoying
There are 3 couples in this show. Of those 3, 2 have no break up (one gets together in like ep10, the other in ep15). The third couple (probably my favorite) have a 'cool off' period, idk if it can be classified as a breakup.
Drama is not really romance focused, more on friendship/journey of FLs. Also, there are annoying love triangles and previous relationships (one of the FL is in a relationship with another guy at the beginning, the other's married).
Teased breakup at the end of episode 15, unsure what ending will be as of yet.Idk if they go through with the…
Couple is solid, no love triangle/misunderstandings/fights. They even make fun of the usual tropes, like when ML family disapproves of FL, ML asks her not to breakup with him and she's like 'lol why would I breakup with you? Am i stupid?'
Sunshine of My Life. Main couple have too many misunderstandings. The SFL, SML, ML’s mother, envious friends,…
IMO should still be on this list since they never actually wavered/broke up and have been together for a long amount of time (I think it's more than 20ep). For all the drama's faults (I also found it to be completely unremarkable), they have one of the best communication amongst all couples in cdrama land. Like, they actually talk about their problems/feelings and stuff haha, before it grows into an argument.
Agree about the annoying love triangles. Especially the SML, god that guy pissed me off. But still, the drama becomes quite enjoyable after the paris arc ends. It's nowhere near the best ones, but I'd put it in the same tier as something like Our Glamorous Time (they are both about fashion as well, now that I think about it lol).
I haven’t seen it yet. I’m hoping someone could tell us about it.
Finished it (besides the last episode, but it's still not out and I'll probably not bother watching it when it airs). My thoughts/heavy spoilers below.
+Very, very good cast. All actors, both leads and secondary, are wonderful. +It's one of the few dramas where the 'domineering ceo' ML actually has the charisma/presence someone in that position would have. He's also flirty/proactive in the relationship with the fl, which make for an entertaining watch. + chemistry between leads is fine, nothing too outstanding, but they have their moments. + no annoying love triangle.
- imo, story itself is shallow/boring (I'm saying this as someone who enjoys fluffy, no angst dramas the most, but this was just.... meh.) - I found the writing to be average at best. There are a few funny moments, but that's it. Not much interesting dialogue/banter etc. - While the actors are good, the characters... are not. ML is fine, though a plain/basic (and I found the "I will protect employees at all cost!" credo a bit cringey, but whatever). FL I didn't like in the slightest (her whole character is basically "I love work! I love work! I love working in a hotel so much omg!"), ml's sister is extremely annoying. His parents idk, I still don't understand what happened lmao. Side characters are ok, I guess?
Also posted about the breakup in the comment below.

Idk if they go through with the breakup (ep ends when the FL says 'lets call it quits' for some unexplained reason and ep16 is not out yet), it may just a cliffhanger prank lmao. This drama has done it a few times before. I'll edit this comment if I ever get around to watching ep16
It seems like my next one will be " Hoshi Furu Yoru ni" after I finish "Five Enough" in two more episodes! I love…
It's definitely worth a watch! One of the best romance jdramas out there. There's also an extremely lovely/emotional drama about a 'delinquent'/semi-blind girl (Koi Desu: Yankee-kun to Hakujou Garu), but it follows the usual 'breakup in the penultimate episode, reconcile in the last one' trope ;( Would've been my favorite jdrama otherwise!
Pasta (2010)Get together at the end of ep9, stay together until the end (20 ep). No breakup/separation.
I really didn't like it. The chemistry between the actors was super great, their 'couple' moments an absolute delight to watch. Everything else, however, I found to be very meh.
Huge spoilers below.
First of all, there's an annoying love triangle - I'm talking a guy confessing to FL, telling her 'I'll keep trying until you say okay' while she's in a relationship with ML, and instead of setting a boundary/drawing a clear line, she just giggles and continues hanging out with him. Idk, I found her character to be extremely confusing - in the beginning, she's head over heels for the MC, telling him 'she'll stick to him like gum, will always be on his side' but she, actually, never is: he left his chef position because people found out they were dating and asked her to come with him - she refused; he got a super attractive job offer from Italy and asked her to come with him - she refused; yet, when she got the same opportunity and had to leave for 3 years, she didn't even hesitate that much to accept it (she didn't in the end, but not because of him) - yet, at other times, she's extremely meek and whiny. There's also quite a bit of sexist stuff and constant yelling (including from ML to FL) that's supposed to 'help cooks improve'. I'm also not into the cooking stuff, so those parts were bland to me. ML is an asshole (a full-on asshole, not a 'secretly soft, tender and misunderstood' type) - but I honestly liked him more by the end of the drama lol. He was consistent, at least.
By the end I got extremely bored and basically fast-forwarded episodes just to see whether they break up or not lol.
