Too bad we have to wait until Nov/Dec for this! Would've been a great fit to air right after the Olympics. Love the cast for this. Excited to see Bogum paired with Sohyun. And villain Oh Jungse will be fun!
New English title for this: My Dearest Nemesis. Sounds like we're in for a lot of fun bickering and some good old enemies to lovers tropiness. The title is playful while also more descriptive than BSD. Love it!
What a basic plot, can Korean writers be original?
Not every plot needs to be original. The story of a second chance at love is a classic and has been for centuries - for a reason. If you don't want that, you can always just pick another drama.
Yun Ji-on is beautiful, booked and busy. Next he's got a main role (SML) in Netflix + tvN weekend drama 'Love Next Door', which looks destined to be a big hit.
It's a well-established concept in Korea. They tried to reflect it in the English title at first, with Golden Boy (the mom's friend's son is a "golden boy" that your mom always compares you to), but it seems they decided it didn't translate well enough, so they went with Love Next Door.
I'm a new Lee Je-hoon fan after watching Move to Heaven recently. I still haven't seen Signal, but have only heard great things, so I look forward to checking it out before S2 comes out next year!
then don't watch it? critic is fine, but ypu shouldn't do it beforehand to a drama where the cast already gets…
Telling people who liked ATCY they have ābad opinionsā is the definition of āblind hateā and absolute nonsense as well. And your original post is totally colored by the character dynamics and writing of the original, when the adaptation may well have a different approach to the characters which would render most of your post moot. Not to mention that adaptations in general tend not to be for people who are very attached to the original workāthatās just common sense.
