I'm gonna be so stressed on Wednesday. If Gicheul dies he better get a great death scene! So far this show is definitely very good, but I do wish the writing was a tiny bit better. The actors are doing what they can to elevate it, but parts of the script could have been executed with more finesse.
It is very reasonable that people who are fans of Go Ahead would question the casting, direction, etc., Usually…
I don't find it reasonable at all. The fans of the original have the original. So there really is no need to worry about an adaptation. If it's not to their taste, they can skip it. Every time we have a remake lately, the comment section is filled with fans of the original complaining. If the original and its cast was perfect, then that's great? They can move on with their lives and not worry about an adaptation they don't need, because the original was already perfect to them.
Instead we have to read endless comments about how the new cast are not doppeltgängers of the original cast members and how it won't be the same because this will have much fewer episodes and since it's Korean it will probably not look the same visually and what if they change this plot line and what if the director uses a different approach and it's ... tiring.
I much prefer the English translation "Family by Choice" for this drama. The current title sounds awkward, and "prefabricated" really isn't a word commonly used in English, certainly not in this context.
He’s not in both seasons of Gyeongseong Creature. Just the second one.
Happy to see him book another drama! I don’t care that it’s a remake, but it does always bring a lot of annoying people whining about how the original can never be matched (like with A Time Called You).
And such diverse ones too! Racket Boys, 2521, Weak Hero, Twinkling Watermelon, High Cookie, they're all so distinct and different. He has the rest of his life to do adult roles, so he should keep picking high school/university roles for as long as he wants now in his early 20s.
I'd have loved to watch this if it wasn't a teacher-student romance :/
You are in luck, because it is not, in fact, a teacher-student romance. It is a mature romance melodrama between two teachers in their late 20s and 30s working at the same academy.
Love it. So many Oppa romances this year. But I hope it’s good. 2020 onwards the noona romances did not have…
FLAW had so much potential but the writing left much to be desired. I still enjoyed it, but the way the romance was handled made it hard to get fully invested in them. Then they were suddenly broken up for a stretch and then got together at the end. But at that point the writer had failed to make me care enough about them so it was like *shrug*. I hope this is better written.
Nam Joo Hyuk is one of the worst current actor in Korea. No acting skills at all!
Absolute nonsense. His performance as Baek Yi-jin in Twenty-Five Twenty-One was shattering and wonderful, and one of the best portrayals of a male character I've seen in years.
It was never about the Ha family in the first place. Eunyu is a main character in this show. The ratings also…
Three of the four main characters are the Ha family. The entire first episode was about their family. Of course it is about them. Eunyu is FL because she is the ML's love interest. She'll become a part of the family when they marry 🤣
Ratings dropped in 5th and 6th ep too. Its not related to writting. Its related to hyunwook issue. Public is boycotting
Are they? Because I can mention many dramas where minor (or bigger) controversies had no effect on ratings. Like when Kim Tae-ri apologized earlier this year during Revenant promo. King the Land also did not seem to suffer at all in the ratings after their much bigger controversy with the Saudi prince. Little Women last year had its highest rating after the Vietnam controversy/ban.
