I deleted my own comment because I don't want people bitching at me. With that said, I'm putting this shit on…
Just use the block button like everyone else. There were like three negative Nancies here before the drama premiered who were convinced this would be terrible and that it wouldn't even be a BL and yapped non-stop about it. Blocked. Now this comment section is relatively peaceful.
"He won't be in S2" - let's see about that 🙏(I think it's telling that the first word Sieun utters is his name)
People obviously won't let him go, just as Sieun won't. He's not dead. Whether he wakes up this season or next (if we get a S3) is anybody's guess, but suggesting people should let him go is both unreasonable and unrealistic.
Karma is April 4th, so I doubt it'll be the next week. Probably 18th or 25th.
Resident Playbook is not a Netflix original, it's a weekly drama licensed from tvN, and has no influence on their original programming. So I'm not sure what you mean by that. The closest comparison here is Trauma Code, which was also unscheduled, yet confirmed for January. That ended up premiering on the 24th. so I'm inclined to guess 25th for WHC2.
I’m surprised he went with the “yeah I am a star and lied last year to protect Queen of Tears.” OK, so you’re lying again this year to protect your expensive Disney+ drama that’s currently postponed indefinitely for which you may have to pay a steep penalty fee. Got it, thanks!
Not sure who is advising him, if anyone, if he thinks today's tearful display was in any way a good idea. Nobody is buying what he is selling because we have eyes and the evidence is overwhelming.
Excellent actor, one of the best in his age group. It says something that he’s already considered chungmuro by many in the industry. The silly hate from fans of an actress he used to date is like water off a duck’s back. Three Baeksangs already! More to come, I’m sure.
This was fun, though I thought it lost some of its spark in the second half. There's a limit to how long it's entertaining to watch the good guys lose and get beaten to a pulp, even if they make it in the end.
I also thought Cha Woo Min was largely wasted, unfortunately. He's barely in the first half at all, and then in the second half he's asked to do little more than smile menacingly until the finale. I'm assuming he'll get more development in a potential Season 2, which would be welcomed.
Hong Min Ki was also underutilized and him popping up once in a blue moon for a brief scene only to disappear for long stretches of time felt bizarre. He's not fleshed out at all and they could have done so much more with him and his relation to the old teacher. I'm sure this made more sense to someone familiar with the source material, but for someone who isn't, it just felt like a half-baked character.
I really enjoyed the study group characters. They did a good job with their development and chemistry.
I had low expectations for this since I have seen one of the works related to the director but now my expectations…
No adaptation's job is to "remain completely faithful to the original". That's why it's called an adaptation. The material is *adapted* ie changed and repurposed for a new medium. That specifically involves making many tough decisions that diverge from the source material.

None of that is inconsistent. The producers have chosen him, sent him an offer for the role, he is now in talks after receiving said offer, and if he confirms, he will star in the drama.
Such a weird rumor only for them both to swiftly deny it. It makes me wonder if there actually was some dissatisfaction about MBC choosing to negotiate with Disney+ and not Netflix for the global OTT rights.
(And I could understand that because the drama would be much, much bigger at Netflix. Like if I were them I would also be like "come on MBC, let's go with Netflix instead for the OTT.")
Either way, clearly it's not enough of an issue for them to exit the drama - thankfully.
Hopefully some of his new dramas (of which there are many at this point) are better than Queen Woo and Gangnam B-Side, neither of which were especially good or memorable.

Not just in the USA, the title in many countries on Netflix is simply 'Weak Hero' (except for the countries that have done a native translation in their own language, basically).
The explanation is simple: they want to list both seasons under the same title, as they do with every show. So the show is called Weak Hero, under which Class 1 and (soon) Class 2 are listed.
