So Sept 5 was actually for festival release and Oct 2 is the real theater release date. Did any streaming platform…
Yep, they really should correct it. A festival premiere is not a "release date"; it has just screened at a festival, not been released. That, as you say, happens in the beginning of October.
Holy, are we going to get a glimpse of gay culture in Korea with this drama? Not just for the straight females?…
It's how the book starts; Jae Hee (here Mi Ae) sees Go Yeong clumsily making out with a man in an alley, which is how they meet and strike up a friendship. It's the catalyst for everything.
The main trailer has been released and it confirmed some of the supporting/guest cast, including Jang Hye-jin as Heung-soo's mother and what I assume is a guest appearance by Lee Sang-yi. https://x.com/megabox_plusm/status/1831459727920017765
True, but it was also entirely unrelated to this drama. Song of the Bandits was the previous collaboration of this director and writer, hence the comparison.
in all seriousness, what difference does the poster make? Iām really interested.
You want me to explain to you why good, appealing promotional materials for an upcoming drama is important? (To attract as many viewers as possible, of course) š
Hope the script is good. Song of the Bandits was underwhelming and made no noise. Goes to show that Netflix is not a guarantee for success, the drama has to deliver, whether it's on Netflix or Disney+.
Y'all. To my recollection in the past 25 years not a single South Korean actor has been canceled for doing a gay…
If anything it tends to have the opposite effect lately. The careers of Park Jaechan and Park Seoham have greatly benefited from starring in Semantic Error, as an example.
No, it's out in October. There was a mishap on MDL a while ago where it was briefly possible to rate it, which is why it looks like it's been rated 8.4 when you search for it. September 5 is the date of this week's TIFF world premiere, and then it hits cinemas in October.
