Good drama. I have watched Esther Yu's dramas before but LBFD is the one that i like the most. Initially, i thought i never watch Dylan's drama but I see the comment about MTD then i realize that the ML is the same person. this drama may not be expected to become hit but then it becomes so popular, the same case with the romance of tiger and rose (this is i believe has even lower budget that LBFD) and imperial coroner. the only minus point in the drama for me is, i feel like the Royal Nirvana bgm music is not match with the drama. when the music start, the memory of RN appear and kind of distract me from the scene in the drama. If I didn't watch RN maybe there's no problem at all. Do they have the same music team? The FL of RN also act in this drama as Orchid’s master.
Finishing the drama 2 weeks ago….. still replaying my fav scenes: when CSS slips and is held by LBY after he read the imperial decree commending CSS good deed in Hua? city and the scene when CSS persuades Yao to cancel the engagement. The bgm is beautiful and heartwrenching.
I’m waiting for changge and leyan reunion. They have the best chemistry. Could someone tell me in which episode they meet each other again? I don’t mind spoiler.
Wow, up to ep 15, the male character (Sun) is jerkier than male character in Goodbye My Princess. Don't know what will happen in the rest of episodes. I hope I won't hate this character too much.
This is actually the most believable gender bender drama imo. The FL can pass as a pretty boy, thanks to her facial structure and make up. She is also beautiful as a woman.
The conversation between GSN and LJ's mother kind a similar with the conversation in the Crazy Rich Asian. The FL also talk to ML's mother about sacrifice or something iirc.
I decide to keep watching since the storyline is interesting and I also like Xing Fei. It's different with the usual drama storyline where the FL and ML develop their chemistry since episode 1 by arguing or falling to each other. I'm curious about how the story will develop, how FL break up with SML and how FL end up with the ML.
I thought the story will take the unconventional route where the female lead ends up with the second male lead. Honestly, I wish the story will end up like that.
Good drama and I love Tan Songyun. I did skip some scenes, especially the romantic scenes between LJJ and LX, but I love how they develop the story about family. It's heart wrenching but beautiful.
The story development really can make me change my favorite couple in the drama. in the beginning, I root for CH and XB relationship since they have good chemistry. However, as the story developed, I start to root for CH and SQ and realize they have better chemistry.
I agree with some comments about the lack of chemistry between RL and WY. I thought it's because they don't have enough scenes together to show their chemistry, but then I realize that even though the scenes between RL& emperor of Qi is shorter, they have better chemistry than RL & WY. So, i have no idea why they lack of chemistry. Maybe the story line itself does not allow them to build the chemistry.
Watching episode 48 and thinking that maybe XF , deep down in her heart, want GJ to die. I mean, she can just disclose that GJ is not GXW and there's possibility that LCY won't kill GJ after knowing the truth. Well, she did ask GXW kill GJ before to fulfill her second request. But, why she looks so sad then. She supposed to be happy that she can revenge her family. After all, GJ is actually one of the masterminds behind the destruction of her family. It's hilarious that GJ always think that he is clean from the sin and blamed everything on LCY.
I just finished watching episode 43..oh man... I really hate Gu Jian. Can he die faster? His character is extra annoying and i guess the actor who plays GJ did a good job to be able to make me can't stand GJ. This is how 'the third wheel' is supposed to be. I don't even feel such annoyed to Sese.
I'm curious about how the story will develop, how FL break up with SML and how FL end up with the ML.
