All right I have decided to suspend some disbeliefs and explain the ending to myself this way: Park Tae Woo clearly says that his “killer instinct” was awaken the day he accidentally hit the businessman with his car, when he watched as the businessman looked up at him asking to “save him”, and that he felt like a god in that moment. We know that the businessman was actually Choi Yi Jae, and even if we take into account the fact that the businessman would have died by suicide anyway (even if Choi Yi Jae was not in his body), he could have died in a different way, in front of a different car, and—most crucially—he would not have looked up at Park Tae Woo saying the words “save me”, because when he did the first time, that was Choi Yi Jae asking Death (who was standing right beside Park Tae Woo) to save him. So, when at the end Yi Jae goes back before committing suicide, the timeline where the businessman jumps in front of Tae Woo’s car and looks up at him thus awakening his serial killer tendencies is erased, and since most deaths were caused by Tae Woo, this time around they don’t happen. We can argue that he was a psychopath anyway so something else would have triggered his tendencies, and that this explanation is shaky at best LOL, but eh I’m deciding to go with it anyway for now because I’m pretty disappointed after watching the ending so I need this LOL.

why would you, as a drama, make so little sense :(

is it me or the mystery around why the necklace was stolen and the ML’s mom killed - which was the whole premise of the drama - is just left out in the end .. with no explanation? We know who *in fact* kills her by giving the last blow but we don’t know why all that happened in the first place, nor why they took the necklace. All that happens and the ML doesn’t think of asking?? Maybe i just missed something LOL. If anyone paid more attention and knows the answer please let me know!
