Drop after drop the rock broke.. the book hits even harder. The movie ends on a more "positive note" (if we can even call it that). still, it makes you boil with rage :)
Not a spoiler just a rant about how disappointed I was after waiting years to watch this movie LOL:
Maybe this movie was not meant to be, I just now found proper subs (here: https://subscene.com/subtitles/intimate-enemies/english/2279861) and then it's the audio that doesn't work and completely shuts off when there's still 30 minutes left! Anyway this movie doesn't make sense and even the title is misleading (the english one at least??), the plot is an overused mess and frankly it's just a waste of great actors. If like me you were waiting to watch it my suggestion is skip it, you're not missing anything. Also cw for some brutal unwarranted and unnecessary scenes.
Wow this movie was fast-paced, there was so much going on (the story definitely deserved more time), and it was a bit different from your regular murder / serial killer mystery. The only thing is. you'll have to suspend your disbelief in regards to "the police are too stupid so the plot can move forward". I hate when they do that LOL. But the rest was great, the acting especially, as others have pointed out. I love Kim Sung Oh he's amazing. <3
I think they didn't marry (they can't) if she gave birth to a child she must raise it alone only 2 weeks in year…
Thank you for your reply. Maybe I missed the part where they said this then LOL. Still felt like they didn't want to give them a complete HEA and wanted to make it bittersweet though. But that's just me i guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

(thank you and sorry for the late reply) I just don't understand why.. it seems they did that just to add more melodrama to the ending.. like he had stayed in switzerland before for an extended period of time to study music, and at the end he was discharged from the military so you'd think he would have the same "freedom" to travel etc as before. im just like ???

And WHY exactly is it that they can only meet two weeks per year?? I get that he can't go to s.korea and they can't reveal their relationship, but he's a pianist now right, so he can travel somewhat freely can't he?? I really didn't get the "only two weeks per year" thing.
You're more than welcome! I just found them myself so I'm more than happy to share them!It does sound familiar…
Yeah that's the right way to do it! Just putting a spoiler alert there does the trick. Sometimes people want to know what they're in for, so that may even turn out to be helpful!
