I think the reason why Rhythm choose Chih En is because he is Beat's 2nd most voted trainee. It's like a compensation for the loss the team got when Groove choose Heejun who is Rhythm's 2nd most voted trainee. And did not choose Woongki, as like you said, respect for each other.
