The original version is 66 episodes and they released the 23 episodes classic version (or re-run version) later on.

Agree about the car accident part which seems intentionally telling us about it and I wonder if the rape part is really fake? Because we do see a girl being dragged back into a car at the beginning of the drama? :o and Choi Kyung Ho might have just think he is the killer because he is the car owner and even made a deal with him to cover up something?

but it gives off a feeling of a sad ending. so am scared.

In the novel, it started from them getting back together after a separation and then having flashbacks about the past along the story. However, in the drama it started chronologically I think so will definitely have a good ending.
