Same i first watched inlh is the 20 ep version, but then bcs the one on netflix was only the full version i saw that too cause my dad was watching it, n then i realized how like the wen clan thing is act rlly bad, bcs like in the shorter one it mostly only focused on them right so i was like well not all wen clan bad y they gotta hate that much, but then in the full ver it was a whole ass arc so i get the thing a bit more. N also bcs of that i cared more fot other characters like shi jie bcs they act showed her more

Wow uk its gonna be those quality shows when its the first ep and youre hooked (act not always true, but good sign). Idk i notice in a lot of c drama it doesnt always pick up on the first ep. it maybe interesting enough to watch the next one, but a lot of times leave roon before the true emph to really get it going. Maybe thats why a lot of the times the first batch of ep releases like around 8 eps before following the weekly schedule

The king says that shell be punished by life in confinement of the palace if im not mistaken. Idk seems very eh punishment to me.
