First episode was pretty boring, but 2nd had some good comedy so maybe I'll keep watching... Honestly just need something to watch in between broadcasts of Perfect Crown.
my theory :the baby king will still end up as king in the end. prince ian and huiju will get married and leave…
I agree! I think I-An had feelings for Huiju since high school, but he's trying to play it cool even though he really likes her. I also think the Queen Dowager's father is the one that killed the king and she's going to flip when she finds out because until now, she seems to suspect I-An killed his own brother for the throne.
I also think I-An was angry at his brother for doing something that was wrong, hence why he threatened him on his wedding day, but really he knew that if his brother kept going down that road that he would die surrounded by enemies which is probably what happened. Most likely I-An's parents were murdered too.
I think I-An and Huiju will get revenge for the royal family, get rid of their enemies and protect the baby king, then live happily ever after.
You forgive me but this is one ridiculous comment. Why should Raik talk formally to him if there is clearly no…
I think you're taking my comment a bit too emotionally. I am asking because typically in kdramas the leads don't address each other informally unless there's a reason established in the plot, especially since the FL is still maintaining formal speech while the ML is not. I wanted to see if I was missing something, that's all.
Only on Ep 4, but why does La-Ik talk informally to Lawyer Maeng? It kind of gets on my nerves lol, like i get he's older but she's still a professional he's working with. He should talk formally, no?
This was a really good show! But I found it a bit disappointing that their only motive for killing the husband was that they thought he was rude and that it hurt their reputation. I wish they showed more of the effect of his opinion on their lives which led to the murder. Also, same thing with the rapist's parents. We know they covered up for him, but I wish we saw more of what they did specifically to understand Mo Eun's perspective more. Also, the girl who gave the testimony of "P", was she threatened by the rapist or his parents to say that? Why does she do it?
Some questions were left unanswered for sure but it was an overall solid show with incredible acting from the leading ladies.
This show is so refreshing!! It gives 2017-2018 k-drama vibes. AEJ looks sooooo beautiful in every scene I squeal at her + her reactions are SOOOO adorable i love it <3333 And JKY is quite handsome too. Man I hope this one keeps the momentum until the very end :)
Because the plot is fast paced. So you fill in the blanks. Not everything is to be explained. Also, I don't know…
I do agree she was great in ep 13, but I felt it came too late. She needed saving way more times than she saved others. And I mean I know that all the team mates saved each other multiple times but I felt they could've done more with her character.
WAYY too many unexplored and unanswered things in this show.
From most important to least important: 1. MJY is said to be the mob boss's son in passing and he kills him to become powerful. Does he know that's his dad? In the last episode, MJY says he was sad when his parents died. What parents? Who raised him? And why did he turn out the way he did? 2. Dong Ju's illness is made to look like a big thing but in the end, it's something that can be resolved with "taking meds". But being punch drunk is actually a result of brain damage. They should've shown how it affects him long term. 3. DrugMon's sister. Why does MJY make her addicted to drugs? Does he do it just for fun? It's also alluded that DrugMon was an addict before but got clean. So why does she make drugs still and sell them? Is it because she has no choice to survive; where does she even learn to make the drugs? 4. The half-Russian half-Korean mob boss. I wish we saw his parents, his upbringing, and his motivations. That would make it make more sense why he was manipulated by MJY instead of the flimsy excuse they gave us. 5. The commissioner's corruption. Why does he get let off the hook so easily in the end, just because he does what Dong Ju said to? 6. How is KMS's wife actually pregnant with HIS kid in the end? They allude in the beginning of the show that he hasn't seen her in a long time since the wife and kid moved overseas for the kid's schooling.
This show is a big hot mess of god awful writing, invincible male characters, a weak female lead that always need saving DESPITE LITERALLY HAVING A GUN, and villains with no real reason for being evil except "they just are". Terrible writing and a waste of a great cast!!
This was a good show but it started to drag towards the end. Also didn't like the unnecessary Lawyer Liang trying to get in between the leads for no reason. Also all the attempted sexual assaults were so jarring compared to the main genre of the show. I could tell they were trying to reinforce the themes of why divorce is needed and things like that but BOTH the FL and the FL's sister almost being sexually assaulted was crazy...
I loved this show, I rated it a 9/10. I just wish they hadn't killed off all the loveable side characters like Lady Qiao's Cousin and Wei Liang. I also wish they gave Shiyuan a bigger role in the war to prove himself earlier and we could then see him take control of his own kingdom and come to support his brother. But it was still a great watch.
never watched Hospital Playlist.. should i watch it b4 this? is it essential to understand this drama?
No you can watch it on its own. In ep 2 there's a cameo from one of the main characters from Hospital Playlist but it's not confusing. But i do like hospital playlist personally so maybe after this show is done you could enjoy that too :)
The latter half of this show was honestly dragging for me anyways but the last 2 episodes were SOOOOO half-ass and messy. I feel like it was just a setup for season 2. Bc why else wouldn't Dongju kill Yeom and send him to the court instead--clearly it means there's more games at play; Yeom will clearly try to get out of prison and plot smth else. Plus Dongju telling the presidential candidate he plans to spend the 2 trillion won on "something else" but not showing us a concise plan. And worst of all is Seonu pushing Taehyun off the ledge without showing us what he got out of it afterwards. UGH!!!!!
I also think I-An was angry at his brother for doing something that was wrong, hence why he threatened him on his wedding day, but really he knew that if his brother kept going down that road that he would die surrounded by enemies which is probably what happened. Most likely I-An's parents were murdered too.
