for me both versions are just kinda the same. the jap. version didn't excite me that much either, the acting however was much better, then again I liked the side characters and side stories much more here. so I guess both versions are pretty equal to me.

I would consider wathcing it if they came back with a second season and kept the actors but they're not going to do that and I won't read the novel soooo... the drama ending would be the only ending I know.

I'm actually quite fine with the ending of Moonshine & Valentine but I am thinking more of Princess Agents or Journey of a Flower.

Yes, you're definitely right. It is somehow always the same, but I don't like it when love stories aren't resolved, so I don't know where the second leads story should've gone to other than what it is now.
haha, though I don't like historical dramas, that mostly counts for Kdramas. I LOVE historical Chinese dramas since Ten Miles of Peach Blossom.
I am hoping for a second season too. Since the leads story is finished now, I'd like them to focus on QianHua. I loved her. I wouldn't be mad if they were to continue the story of the girl and the two guys though.

Ah personally, at some point I didn't really care for the best friend and the two guys because I wouldn't want her to choose any of them. It would've been just too sad, thus I think I am quite happy with them both being her pets right now.
What I like the most about this was the actual fantasy, I like the idea the most and that the lead girl was scared of him in the beginning.
I am not sure if I had like this if it was about their historical past.

Is it as good as TMOPB? It literally rocked my world but every wuxia after that was kinda meh.
