I am so much in love with a nice and caring lead. I feel like I have been drinking tasty soda for the last year and now, the first time since forever, I am drinking clean, refreshing water.
wow literally everything is unsatifying .... BuJa died, couldn't say goodbye to her mother Ahn Sa Yeong died without receiving real punishment The white dragon horse died without confessing his love for PK The fairy sister died without being reborn Na Chal Nyeo became a flower without having the chance to greet her son and lover everybody forgot about Jonathan Lee Han Joo has no abilities to succeed the buisness without Jin Seon Mi PK is literally alone without any friends (Alice doesn't count - he didn't even like her) MA WANG CAN'T TELL HONG HAE AH THAT HE IS HIS FATHER FOR ETERNITY Soobori doesn't receive any punishment for being shitty Jin Seon Mi is literally dead and we don't know if Son Oh Gong will ever find her ... Kang Dae Sung is only left rotting without Heaven doing their favourite thing to do which is unnecessarily cruel punishments. hypocrites, I say (also, after their logic he must become an evil spirit, so he is practically back to hunting the world)
this actually calls for a second season but hell no, pls don't
I really don't know how I liked this drama because the plot was kinda pretty bad but also interesting and pretty funny. but there are so many plot holes, so many things left open/alone. I hated Jin Seon Mi's character for most of the first half of this drama because she was just too plain, the finale fighting scene was very unexciting - I blinked and everybody was hurt.
I really don't understand the world sometimes. I generally have a very mainstream taste in dramas and I do understand what people don't like about certain dramas I find to be masterpieces but with this drama I cannot wrap my head around how people actually enjoy it. I watched as much as I could but I had to drop it because it's just so bad. probably one of the worst dramas I have watched to date. there is no plot, no chemistry, no appeal, no rational behaviour, just a bunch of tropes thrown into what attempts to be a storyline. the acting is very average, though the cast is great.
I am not trying to offend people's taste but I really don't understand, it feels like I am watching a complete different drama.
I mean I don't think there were ever that many but if you're looking for more I'd suggest Secret Love Affair and…
No, they are actually quite a few but not since recently. Just think about I Need Romance 3 or I Can Hear Your Voice, Personal Taste, ... I already watched 1988 but maybe I'll check out Secret Love Affair.
I dunno when was the last time I watched a noona romance. a witch's romance maybe??? are there even any anymore? I know they were so popular in the past but they're really following the rich chaebol/boss trend right now.
so in order to make a title more English speakers friendly, they changed a word that's 1. recognisable for even…
I didnt even think about that. I feel like they didn't put that much thought into it. You're right though. They could've also just translate it with That Woman Who Buys Me Food or The Pretty Woman Who Buys Me Food.
I rated this a 7 but it's not actually a bad drama. I only have good memories when I think back. It had a lot of suspence but I think what bothered me the most was that it sometimes just didn't feel serious. Like the humour was just so misplaced most of the times.
This really has some mid-2000 drama vibes. It even looks kinda old-school. the acting, the directing, even the cliffhangers and the music makes me think of much much older dramas. But I really like this, so far every episode was interesting. I hope they keep it up because it's very difficult for a 24ep drama to actually stay interesting.
tbh it's not even the lead that's the problem. it's the story, the plotline or at least the attempt at that. It's…
that I can recommend? honestly, I feel like I am in a slump right now. I do like The Great Seducer and My Husband Oh Jak Doo, but I know that these two aren't everyone's taste. however you'll at least see a continuous plot and development in story and character. If you wanted to what this here because it's supposed to be funny, don't do it, go watch Laughter in Waikiki, it does kinda have a plotline but it's also more like a sitcome. if you want something that's this here, that tries to be weird and funny and has romance then I can recommend The Girl Who Sees Scents.
I don't understand how ppl find this good, I mean I know everyone has a different taste but the plot is literally missing here. We all know how it will end, we're just not sure though how and IF they gonna disclose the mystery of the tree to us, ever. And though the cast is good, it's not like they're doing their best jobs. I've seen the leads in much much better and more convincing roles, especially Kim So Eun. this could've been good as 10min webdrama
BuJa died, couldn't say goodbye to her mother
Ahn Sa Yeong died without receiving real punishment
The white dragon horse died without confessing his love for PK
The fairy sister died without being reborn
Na Chal Nyeo became a flower without having the chance to greet her son and lover
everybody forgot about Jonathan
Lee Han Joo has no abilities to succeed the buisness without Jin Seon Mi
PK is literally alone without any friends (Alice doesn't count - he didn't even like her)
MA WANG CAN'T TELL HONG HAE AH THAT HE IS HIS FATHER FOR ETERNITY
Soobori doesn't receive any punishment for being shitty
Jin Seon Mi is literally dead and we don't know if Son Oh Gong will ever find her ...
Kang Dae Sung is only left rotting without Heaven doing their favourite thing to do which is unnecessarily cruel punishments. hypocrites, I say (also, after their logic he must become an evil spirit, so he is practically back to hunting the world)
