Maybe Tim just knows Pai the best. Maybe because he knows that Pai is stubborn, he has to be even more shameless if he wants to earn any forgiveness and free Pai of misery. Maybe because he understands that the Pai he got to know has always been lonely. The only grandson not to be spoiled, given huge expectations, no room for error, no room for personal development beyond his CEO role, That Pai cannot be left alone. Maybe that is why instead of begging for forgiveness, the most important thing is to show Pai his real personality, while also showing Pai that he himself is more than the role previously assigned to him. I think even if it's shameless, not leaving Pai alone is the right move to avoid Pai convincing himself that for Tim there have been no sincere feelings involved.
