I am 9 episodes in and if I was the female lead I would tell the male lead to get lost. All he does is put her…
I was complaining about the same thing but it eventually will get better and ZF will learn a lot from him.

I know this is an unpopular opinion but I really didn't like this. I found it extremely boring, took me several attempts to start, continue and finish. If it was for the romance alone, I would've liked it more, however I didn't see any amazing chemistry built up, it was just rather okay to me. However, the plot, it was just obnoxious to me. The whole university set-up with the hazing/mobbing going on made me so uncomfortable as it also made no sense at all. It was really disturbing. I felt it tried to teach so much and really, really did not succeed at that at all.

I have never seen Lee Ji Hoon in a non-obsessed role. LOTBS, Woman of 9.9 Billion and now this one...
I dropped LOTBS and didn't watch Woman of 9.9 Billion, but I've liked him in Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung and Your House Helper

somehow the trailer felt nostalgic to me. I don't really know how to describe it, it feels like something I watched before, but not really.
It did remind me of Hotel Del Luna, but that's not what I mean with nostalgia.

did anyone else got a hotel del luna vibe?
i was just about to comment that. totally. the directing, the visuals, the styling, also the little eery vibe.
I'm totally here for it tho.

I don't like Jin Noh Eul, I don't get why she after whatever many year suddenly realizes she was in the wrong, but at least she broke up with him in person. at least she offered him the opportunity to ask questions and at least she had enough respect for him to end their relationship face to face.
Jae Hyuk, however, makes me really mad. This guy just vanishes into another country, ending their 5 years with ghosting and then comes back and talks about how he was lonely. I do understand that sometimes you gotta take chances and sometimes these chances are within another country but he was just so disrespectful. and now he infiltrates her whole life, leaves her no space and suddenly thinks she still even has the need for him in her life. this girl was about to get married. I really really dislike him. I do like Lee Ji Hoon but my dislike for this character makes him even look creepy to me rn.

to have the audacity of an ex.
can't believe that I wrote this for ep 3 and in the next ep they really defended themself for it. "audacity makes it seem like you're not sorry", "but being too sorry makes it actually audacious".
ugh no, I'm not against ppl getting back with their exes but the way both of them broke up with the leads is just too much. "you're boring" and "I'm studying abroad" (honestly this one I think is the worst of them. he was just gone from one day to the other)

I am not watching it but The King is getting complaints about them immediately being in love without the viewer…
Ahhh, I see you're right. Haha, I put that on-hold for now because I did not get how they fell for each other either. haha. it wasn't on my radar. thanks.

I didn't like this from the beginning and it should've been a sign for me to drop it but I was stubborn and finally proved myself right in that yes, this is not for me.
from the beginning on I felt something was lacking, IMO the leads don't really have chemistry, Irene Song's acting gets really annoying at some point. I know she has a baby face but I feel like she tries to hard to act younger than she is, thus we're getting a lead acting like she is 12. the styling also doesn't help portraying her the right age. if that wasn't enough, sadly the character she's playing is just too unlikable. I don't even mind characters with flaws, in fact I love them, but Xi Chi didn't really developed anywhere. She only ever came to the conclusion that she was wrong and selfish when she had others explain it to her or when she saw others also struggling. however, what her parents did was really f'ed up, I don't get why they couldn't just be honest with their kids. get a divorce and see your children when it's suitable, don't rob them off getting to know the truth, spending time with their mother and getting to know their half-sister.
Xu Fang was more likable but I was really missing some charm with him. I found him just very bland and boring. his final conflict with the target-panic just seemed to come out of nowhere (tho maybe I missed sth because most of the time I was so bored, I was playing on my phone.)
the side couples weren't much more interesting either, tho at least the best friends were cute.
mostly I missed some plot. the first half was concentrated on Xi Chi's conflict with her parents but after she found out the truth, the story didn't know where to go and suddenly she fell in love with Xu Fang even though she was in love with the SL the whole time. Her reasons for falling for Xu Fang should be very understandable but to me it felt like she was in such a need of feeling loved because she was so vulnerable that she just generally turned to him. I wonder if she would've fallen for him if she didn't had any problems at that time because there really were no signs at all if she even considered Xu Fang to be attractive. it seemed that the SL was just in a disadvantage because he was involved with her conflict with the pet shop, while she also was just finding out about her parents.

the last twist was really unnecessary, they really could've left that out and go another way. kind of numbed my excitement because I saw it coming.

the trope I actually hate the most is the "male lead that had a traumatic childhood experience so now he won't ever fall in love and is as cold as ice but we have here our perfect female lead who will act as free therapy and will heal our male lead's heart".

also likely to be included with the "she is gonna go against all his wishes and meets his parents behind his back to solve his family issues" plot.

I don't want to spoil the drama's name but there is a K-drama where I was so sure which one of the guys was gonna…
I feel like maybe where thinking of the same drama because I loved who she ended up with instead. It's one of my favourite dramas.

I just came to accept that apparently every romantic drama, movie or written work gonna have a break up at some point. I really can only think of one drama in which the couple never separated. So at this point I'm just expecting conflicts towards the end. However, I really wish they would try harder and actually make the conflict worth of my attention, because sometimes it's just so dumb that it completely numbs my excitement.
I even came to accept the noble idiocy trope, but I really can't handle unnecessary, very much easily avoided misunderstandings or miscommunication. Ugh.

I rarely have SLS because I'm generally on TeamFemaleLead. So when the drama pushes the male lead on me then I'm probably gonna love him, too. I can only think of 3 second leads who really stole my heart and deserved the girl so much more.

I don't mind childhood connections. I mean I do find them really unnecessary sometimes, especially when they really don't add to the plot and are revealed pretty late, but they don't ruin the drama for me.

Has someone an example for a fast burn drama, because I can't think of any? Mostly when they get together pretty quickly, it's because the drama focuses on the relationship part instead of the falling in love part.

I'm at ep 15 and somehow I feel so sorry for Sia Ha and Chunchai's friendship. They give us so many flashbacks…
Damn they really gave me what I was asking for. I am so pleasantly surprised.

this was surprisingly really really good. definitely not perfect in a few major aspects, but overall very exciting and enjoyable. the ending was very well concluded and I believe they actually tied up every plotline very nicely.
Even though the eps are very long I never felt bored and it wasn't actually draggy, which I did expect it to be. Also, the acting was top-notch. It was so good I actually cried a few times.

I'm at ep 15 and somehow I feel so sorry for Sia Ha and Chunchai's friendship. They give us so many flashbacks and show us that they were a team from the get go and sadly it really didn't feel like that so far. There is more to come so I'm hopeful.
