I watched this a few years ago remember loving the leads only finished it for them. otherwise it was super slow and too much focus on the annoying neighbors. every episode was just like conversation after conversation and maybe 2 minutes of an actual zombie/action. ik they intentionally took a different approach to the whole zombie apocalypse genre but it was lame. there was no real suspense or fear. also only one location throughout the entire drama, the apartment, became very tiring to watch. I wish they went all out and made a true thriller
was really into the first two episodes but after that got more boring and boring… like the humor was strong at first then it got so bland. eunho plot too dragged out. also so many obnoxious drinking scenes. once or twice is fine and expected in kdrama but it’s literally just over and over and over again
is it so unrealistic for a humanitarian worker to die in the ME? they didnt imply anything about the character…
kdramas only ever mention the middle east to insert some random plot about terrorism, war, explosion bomb or whatever. geographically speaking only like 1% of the entire middle east is a war zone. most of the region is very stable and advanced even.. they are so uneducated, yet they are obsessed with this stereotype. that's why it's frustrating.
one time a korean irl asked me, "I heard they don't have trees there, is that true?" I was flabbergasted. a whole ass adult believing that. another one, "how do people live there, isn't it just a desert with sand?" I had to explain there are tons of developed, urban cities in the middle east just like their own country has. but of course they wouldn't know that.
just recently PMY was doing an interview with an Indian news outlet to promote the show. the interviewer asked her who would want to play in a bollywood production. PMY said she'd be jasmine from aladdin. girl bye. imagine if someone asks a popular middle eastern actor who would they want to play in a kdrama and they answer Mulan. everyone would call them a racist. honestly korean industry gets away with so much bc the fans always justify their blatant ignorance. it's actually ridiculous.
we dont need the flower of evil director we need the flower of evil WRITER to come back. where is that diva? looked her up and she hasn’t written a drama since. yet there are so many mid writers terrozing the kdrama industry repeatedly. someone needs to employ that queen asap
Is there a rule amongst kdrama writers that they must always throw in 2-3 non-character airhead coworkers who only exist to spew their few lines of ott comedy every episode, even tho it's not really funny, with quirky music playing in the background, and they contribute absolutely nothing else to the plot. It's even more jarring in this show because it's supposed to be a dark thriller? so fkcing random
